"The lodging looks old fashioned but well kept from the outside, but it is extremely well built, recently refurbished, modern, clean, and very quiet on the inside. Even the train whistles off in the distance were a source of comfort. This inn is the very best of basic lodging. The owner and his staff were attentive without being intrusive. We stayed 3 nights and it is one of the best places we've stayed during our travels of the past 5 years."

"It was “fine” … but the images online showed some sort of simple complimentary breakfast. Apparently, there was in the past, but they got rife of that years ago. It’d be nice to update the photos."

"The location was in a good location for shopping and food, close to freeway access and close to the Stanislaus State College. Only draw back was the train going by behind us blowing the horn at all hours of the night. Not easy to sleep."

"Super easy check in. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was good. Even the pull out bed was comfortable for my kids! We would choose this place again."

"Hours after checkout they charged $180 to our card and when questioned they stated we “damaged the curtain sheers” when asking if they had proof or photos or even a log on when we entered/exited our room to prove we were hardly there during daylight hours, they replied no to all questions and wouldn’t provide any form of proof. They have been difficult to work with in navigating this outrageous “damage” charge that I ended up just filing a dispute with the bank. This put a huge financial strain on us as we were traveling out of state and their lack of understanding or empathy with the issue almost made the charge seem calculated and strategic and it’s not their first time executing an outrageous, untrue charge. A sad ending after visiting family we haven’t seen in 10+ years. We’ll never stay at a double tree or Hilton again."

"Place was clean and was in a nice location. DON’T eat at Red Robin a few blocks away DO eat at Black Bear dinner Nextdoor. Room was nice size even though we don’t use it the little kitchen in the room was really nice. Our room was very quiet & clean. I would have given 5 stars except for someone could have walked around outside and picked up trash especially along the fence in the back. Nice place would stay again!"

"For it being a fairly new hotel it was a bit disappointing stay there. Not cleaned very well especially the bathrooms and also it smelled like smoke in every hallway."
