The place was very clean and well kept, but we felt like we had the entire Inn to ourselves. We heard coughing from another room, but it felt very empty.
We saw a staff member only in the morning and they were great! Very friendly, very helpful and took us on a tour of the tunnels and told us the history of it all.
What was disappointing is the lack of a restaurant/ bar which was a big highlight when we stayed here years ago. When we came here years ago, it felt lively with what seemed like locals coming for dinner and hanging out and guests enjoying the their time. This time around, aside from the morning we were there with the staff member, the whole experience felt hands off. We even joked that it felt like the "Ghosts" were running the business.
Would we return, yes. But as the staff member said, we were in the slowest time of the year, the in between seasons. So, next time, for us, perhaps a busier time and maybe after they open the restaurant/bar for good food and good times.
