「We only stayed for one night but it was great! The property was beautiful and very clean. The parking was easy and it was in the perfect location. I loved that our room had a Nespresso fully stocked and the breakfast and snack area in the lobby is such a nice and appreciated touch.」

「What a romantic stay in a spectacular location! The service was way above expectation. We were simply dazzled! (But two things essential to our modern life were missing. With all the historic interpretation of the property, there ought to have been more historic research and credit given to the talented enslaved artisans who actually built the home. 「Very lovely place. Breakfast was great. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will say however, if you have trouble walking then this may be an issue as we had to walk three flights of stairs inside to reach our room. Many many stairs. There was no indication of this when viewing the site on Expedia. 」

「The property is so authentic to the original structure, filled with antiques, it's like stepping back in time, only with better plumbing! Lynda was the perfect hostess. She anticipated that we would need a first floor room without my asking. The property was accessible to my parents who have mobility issues. We enjoyed our made to order breakfast, including gluten free toast. Not a lot of dining near the property that we could see, although there is a list of restaurants in the room. 」

「Excellent property with spacious rooms and a great front porch with rocking chairs to relax in. Fabulous breakfast every day. But most important was the staff. Angela and Micheal were very welcoming and ready to help with anything you might need. Would definitely return.」

「The breakfast was excellent! James prepared our favorite breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast with butter and preserves. My husband had sausage and I had bacon. We stayed in the Sacred Hearts room which was decorated beautifully in purple . The bed was very comfortable. 」

「Super nice area just outside of downtown Charleston in a charming traditional neighborhood. Nice staff, beautiful room and balcony. Restaurant downstairs was a bonus. I didn't get to take advantage of the nearby pool as it was too cold. I'd love to stay here again.」
