"The Beacon hotel is good for the location, but the hotel itself has a lot of shortcomings. The rooms and the bathroom was not clean enough and the furniture is very dated and needs to be changed. The elevator of the hotel while we are, there was not working at all and to go up and down five flights every time. The staff is fairly helpful, but the management really needs to put more concentration on the functioning and the amenities of this building. I highly doubt I will stay here again, given all of the problems. Specially the elevator not working on a busy spring break week. "

"Important right off the bat to note that this is essentially a hostel, not a hotel. Our stay started with a protracted back-and-forth discussion consisting of me attempting to book parking and constantly failing to do so. It almost felt like staff was completely ignoring my messages and sending canned responses. After several days of this I was able to book parking, but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. From there, communication with staff was average at best. Though they made a point of sending messages checking in on our status, it almost felt like they were caught off-guard by responses and weren’t really ready to provide thoughtful support. There were also some minor cleanliness issues with our rooms and linens which were reminiscent of a hostel, not a hotel. There is a distinct lack of sound isolation between rooms which can be unpleasant, though they do provide earplugs. The location is great and the clientele seems vibrant and sociable, but the management leaves something to be desired."

"The property is right on the beach and really easy to get too. The staff was really nice. They do not replace your sheets unless requested. They only replace linens every 3 days so if that’s not cool for you I wouldn’t stay here. They also don’t give you towels when they clean the rooms. You have to request them and I did not receive the face towels I wanted when I asked. They provide free beach towels and chairs if you’re going to the beach which was really nice and you get 15% off the restaurants connected to the hotel for all meals and Meet Dalia gives you a free breakfast. It’s enough unless you want eggs and meats. You can’t hear the room next to you however you can hear when people slam the door in the hallways. If you’re coming for a few days it’s a good hotel!"

"No kitchen"

"The hotel was clean. The one front desk lady continuously rolled her eyes everytime we talked to her, she was very arrogant and rude. The property had no ice machine, we were told we had to walk next door to “taco taco” or walk to “Maxine” next door to get ice. If you wanted to use the pool you had to walk next door on either side to use those buildings pools. Our hotel room was very small. There was no mini fridge or microwave. It was a very basic room- just a bed, small dresser, tv and a bathroom. Online it’s advertised that there’s a pool and bar etc. - again you have to walk next door for any of those things. When we got to the hotel they charged an additional $136 that you don’t get back on top of the deposit, they did not disclose this until we were at hotel. "
