"We stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions: 2/21-2/23 and 2/28-3/1, that is, before and after our Garden Route Tour and Safari.
For our first stay, the staff was kind and accommodating. The night guard recommended an excellent nearby restaurant open late. The devices and power outlets in the room were functional. We ordered an early takeaway breakfast for our road trip, which was made to order, delicious and generously portioned.
However, the second stay left much to be desired. The outlets and phone in the room were not working. Since I was sick and needed hot water for tea, soup, etc., my husband had to go downstairs to the lobby 4 times to ask maintenance to reset the circuit every time we tried to boil the water, recharge our mobile phones, etc. In the morning, I discovered that the shower door was broken and could not be closed properly, but not until I was in it and wet. My husband was downstairs and could not help me get out. The floor ended up wet and slippery. At checkout, the lady listened to our complaints, but did not offer even a partial refund. She suggested an upgraded room when we return. I don't think we will be returning. They did store our luggage from the checkout time (11 am) until our departure (6 pm). When my husband returned to pick up the luggage, he requested a bottled water, figuring they could at least give us a free water for the trip to the airport after everything that had transpired. They said they did not provide free water."
"This hotel is in the perfect location for first timers to Cape Town. We walked to multiple locations and it was easy to join tours from here.
From the moment we arrived until we checked out the staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. This group really understands customer service and they made us feel so welcome."
"Decent hotel in centre of Cape Town. The rooftop pool in the photos doesn’t exist any longer but we were allowed to use the one at Radisson Red at the V&A but it was tiny and freezing. We also stayed in the Capital Mirage on this trip which we preferred "
"Very hard bed. Sent us to the wrong room the first time. Staff seemed bothered that I insisted on getting what I paid for. Also didn’t receive the free bottle of wine I was supposed to get. I was hoping Radisson only sucked in the U.S. but I guess it’s universal."
