Sosua beach is beautiful and laid back. It is the best place to sit back and people watch. There are a ton of shops and bars there. Even if your not interested in swimming grab a drink at the bar and just look at the parade of beautiful Dominican women walking by.
it is hot since there are no breezes, but water is calm. everyone will hit you up to sell you something, no gracias and they will usually back down a little, but expect to be intidated with people wanting to sell you something

Small and dirty beach, with dark water and lots of kiosks selling all kind of artisanal objects, hammocks, clothing,etc. Lots of fried seafood for the ones who likes it, but the access is kind of complicated since you have to park by the main road and walk down a long stairway to get to the beach with all kinds of people around you. I thought I was in a public and very popular market place.
