"Don't be fooled by the pictures. It's a run down hotel who's best days are behind it. No Air conditioning! -- Their empathetic suggestion was to open the windows, but the street noise went on till 2AM. Supposedly it was season switching, but the thermostat had limitations, so i think it's about saving money. The two pictures show the front of the hotel (which is now a clothing store), and the breakfast room (which is nice). But that's about it. The fitness center was a joke. No Bar. Empty restaurant at night. Seems the hotel is is rapid decline and needs a management overhaul in the worst way. Sorry to say. Good location and great 'bones" but it was really bad."

"Our stay at City Hotel, Ljubljana was excellent from start to finish. The staff were extremely helpful. We arrived earlier than expected and were able to store our luggage whilst we went off to explore. Our room was everything we needed - clean, spacious and with some thoughtful extras (water, slippers, nice toiletries - and an umbrella!). The bed was very comfy, we both slept well! Breakfast was also excellent, with so much choice, a really great start to a busy day travelling and exploring the city. The bar is also great, lovely cakes too! The hotel offers a "green incentive" - if you don't need your room cleaned, you can have a voucher for a free drink. There's a free water refill in the hotel lift lobby, we used that a lot - and lots of other amenities that we didn't use (gym, massage, terrace bar). I would recommend a stay here - it's 5 minutes walk to the bus station, and about 5 to the river, so not only a great hotel, but also a brilliant location. I'm sure I'll stay here again."
