Good place
1 night stay in hostel so my review is limited. Fast wifi, clean and nicely located. After hour check-in was tricky without a booking code. Wifi only works inside and not useful for after hour check-in.

It was truly just okay
The staff was all super friendly and the late self check-in process was easy. The rooms themselves were small with no dedicated space to put your luggage. There were small lockers at the foot of the bunks to put things like laptops, passports, currency, etc but they were not large enough for all your belongings. The bed was comfortable with fresh clean linens. While the privacy screen was nice, it completely blocks out any circulating air from the air conditioner. So you have to decide whether you want privacy or comfort. They also turn off AC from 11am-7pm in the room, so I'd consider bringing a small portable fan. There is AC in the lobby during this time. The real issue is with the bathroom. There is one small bathroom tucked in the back. It is a combo sink, shower, toilet, so everything was always wet. They do not allow shoes or slippers, so you're standing in someones shower water (or maybe even pee...) There is no changing room, so you have to change in the bathroom. This makes it impossible to keep your belongings dry while doing this. There is one shelf over the toilet and no counter space. There is no where to do your makeup or generally "get ready". If all bunks are full the room feels extremely cramped. The wifi was very slow and often did not connect. Roaming on my plan from America was faster than the hostels wifi. I was in room A. Perhaps rooms B and C upstairs are a different experience.

Dear Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to send in a feedback. We sincerely apologise that you are facing these problems. The air-conditioners are off from 12pm to 3pm. If the air-conditioners are off for that long, it must be someone did not close the door of the bathroom. If the door is open the air-conditioner will switch off on its own. Due to the structure of the building and the amount of space we have, we are unable to build them separately but there are more bathrooms upstairs and there are slippers provided too, please approach the staff so that they can serve you better the next time :) We hope the next time you are here, we will meet the expectations.

Convenient Location & Friendly Staff
I had a great time staying at quarters! The staff were friendly, the location is very convenient whether walking to the F1 track, Chinatown or marina bay sands shops and amenities. Met some really cool people in the hostel so I recommend you go downstairs during breakfast. Speak up and venture out with people.

Thr rooms are very small without any comfort. The beds where stinking. The price much to high. But the staff is very friendly

Expensive windowless room.
The windowless room wasn't great. Small and squashed with 4 people in there. Definitely not a family room. The shower and toilet in the same room is never a good idea either. Expensive.

Nice hostel. Very bad showers/toilets.
In general, nice hostel very friendly stuff. Great location. The room was very small, but ok. The biggest downside of this hostel is the combined toilets and showers. Most of them don't have windows and are poorly ventilated. So it's horribly hot inside. The toilets are usually wet due to the fact that you shower over them. You aren't allowed to bring food into the room.

Great location, fantastic staff
Staff here were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, though there isn't a lot of space for suitcases when fully booked. The hostel is a short walk away from the beautiful Clarke Quay, and the MRT station.

Horrible experience,
First, Very careful tick bit in bed. We stayed this hostel a week ago but still itch maybe tick bit. Seems like tick bit since bit has a line with 5 holes. Second,I reserved family room for 4persons paid over usd$80. Family room photo in this site what I reserved is not we stayed room. 1/3 size of family room and can only one person stand up in room. Can you image how much small? But hotel photos look great but it's not. And very noisy in midnight. Horrible experience.

Lovely youth hostel!! Excellent location 2mins walk from the river and tube station in the centre of the city! Facilities match what you pay for really. Very clean however aging building with a basic service. Very accommodating staff

Hostel with good location only
CONS 1. The blankets are dusty, musty and worst, weren't properly washed before handling out to the customers. 2. Deposit of $20 per key which are charge of $15 per key for admin fee if return to them after counter close. It is very inconvenient as we not sure what time we will be back to hostel. We have ask the counter regarding return of key and the deposit before we go out at morning, the counter never remind us that they are no staff after 10.30pm. When we back at hostel already late night and no staff at counter. We tried to call the number listed at counter, there was no one answer the phone. So early morning we just put the key at counter drawer and email them regarding deposit. Than they reply and refuse to pay back full amount and want to charge us $30 as we have request for another key. This is not our false right, really unfriendly. PROS 1. Good location, near mrt 2. Free simple breakfast

Great value for money
Great complimentary breakfast, wifi. Location is the best you can ask for, right in the heart of Singapore's downtown waterfront area. Stay here, or close to here if its your first time in Singapore. You'll be able to walk to great Museums, Parks, Waterfront, Chinatown, Marina bay.

dissapointed traveller. It was overrated.
My room was on the left side of reception. Mold in the bathroom. Needs fixing. Shower and toilet are together in the small room. No curtain for the shower. If somebody is taking a shower then the water is everywhere and the floor is flooded. Lot of dust under bunkbeds. No common room, only shared reception area. No common activities.

Friendly staff and great location!
I stayed in the eight-person dormitory that had one combination toilet/shower (more were upstairs to use as well). So, the floor, toilet, and sink surfaces were usually wet. Also, the water never got hot (although Singapore is a hot and humid place, it is always nice to have a hot shower) but it did get warm enough. The lockers were big enough to store valuables and stuff but do not fit a standard suitcase. The bunk beds were comfortable and clean and were stable enough not to move and squeak too noticeably if your bunkmate moved in the middle of the night. The breakfast was do-it-yourself fried eggs, toast (with Nutella and jellies), cereal, cookies, with apple juice, milk, and coffee; a piece of fruit would have been nice, though. There is also a community refrigerator. Anyway, the staff and location are the Quarters best assets: The staff are super welcoming, engaging, and helpful (Caselyn is the greatest!) as the location is a couple minute walk to Boat Quay and Clarke Quay (not to mention the Clark Quay MRT subway station) and about a ten minute walk to Chinatown. The Quarters does not sponsor any activities like a walking tour or a pub crawl which would have been greatly appreciated.

Good value and perfect location
Stayed only one night during a stopover in Singapore. Late check in could have been an issue but the way to proceed was explained on the door and my room key was waiting for me inside. Bed and ensuite bathroom were clean. Lockers are big enough to fit a hand carry suitcase. Everything would be perfect if wasn't guests that came in the room around 5am drunk and very noisy. For people sensitive to noise, note that hostel is in a busy street with bars and clubs, can hear the bass a bit from the room (but not too loud).

Miserably small room. Dusty (room 202) at the edges of bed. Bed lamp not working, only to realized there was not bulb. Asked the receptionist, but they have no spare bulbs (ridiculous). Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Not worth the money. Cross the road to Bunc Hostel.

Really good location. Walking distance to the bay gardens and food centers. We thought we paid for the bigger four bunk dorm but when we got there were informed that it was already taken so had to stay in the smallest one which had no space for anything, it's definitely not suitable for four people. Overall good stay. I just wish the rooms had more space,especially since they're not cheap at all.

Great for budget stay.
Rooms were small but clean and tidy. Air-conditioned and access to free wifi. Each (bunk)bed had it's own locker at the end, power ports and lamp. There were hooks to hang clothes or towels but the other occupant decided to use 3/4 of the hooks for herself. Would be good if there were line hangers or similar for us to hang our towels to dry. There is a women's only shower but no windows and gets really stuffy. Just take quick showers and you'll be fine or use ones with a window. Location was great! Restaurants along the street and very close to MRT and Clarke Quay river.

Rented one bed in a 8-bed mixed dorm with ensuite bathroom located at ground floor, but have access to shower rooms at 1st floor. Hair dryer, body/hair shampoo are free for use. Pay-per-use of washing machine. Towels are available for rent. Guests were polite and sociable. Friendly and helpful hostel staffs. The hostel is clean and well kept. Breakfast was simple and prepared by our own. Free coffee and hot/cold water. Can keep food in fridge. Room floor should be more well lit in dark as I almost tripped over a knapsack that was left by a guest.

Great location but extremely cramped room.
The best features of this hostel are the helpful staff and the terrific location near the river and close to the train station. It was easy to catch the train from the airport with our children and walk to the hostel. Our four bunk room was so small we could not pass each other in the room and one or two of us had to climb on to the beds to allow the others to pass. There was very little floor space for our luggage either. You literally could not swing a kitten. Our room faced the street and even earplugs could not block out the music pumping until late from the bars opposite. Perhaps the dorm rooms further from the street would be better. The breakfast was basic but quite adequate. To be honest for the relatively high price of the room, next time I'd fork out a little extra for a hotel family room despite the great location. I think this hostel would be really good for backpackers.
