Perak Hotel is located in a colonial building with a lot of charm and is ideally located 1' from Rochor metro station. The staff was very kind and the place is well kept. We loved it!
Rooms are small, located in vibrant Little India area which is great for the many restaurants. Definitely recommend for a short stay

Convenient location
Small room but very convenient for the MRT and great food in Little India. Breakfast was good.
Good location, that is the only positive thing. The room is very old with no TV connection and no power socket (we had to unplug the fridge to charge our mobile phones one at a time!!)

Front desk staff are friendly. The breakfast food is not good and has limited choices. The older woman in charge in the dining looks grumpy and not friendly. Our room is ok. The property is old and the outside sorrounding is not pleasant but it is convenient to MRT and walking distance to Bugis Street Market. Also the elevator is the older version, we used the stairs most of the time even we are on the 3rd floor, i don’t feel comfortable using the elevator (lift).

Rustic look, small but well equipped rooms. Very good service. The delicious buffet breakfast was a bonus. Tons of cheap and good places to eat around. It’s 200m from a MTR station.
Was just a quick overnight stay. We have stayed here on several occasions and always comfortable. This time we just booked the standard room which is small but spotlessly clean and perfectly fine for an overnighter. If we were staying longer we would stay in the upstairs rooms.
Our family stayed here for one night. The hotel is lovely and very clean. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and air-conditioning. The WIFI was relatively strong as well. The staff is extremely friendly and assisted us with all of our questions and needs! The breakfast was also delicious, but a little crowded and served late. We also did struggle a little bit with our phone chargers, because we did not own a universal adaptor. We believe we should have been informed about that beforehand. Overall, our stay was quite enjoyable, even though it was only for one night.
I had a roof over my head and the location was convenient. That’s all it gets for me.
The bed was hard, hardly any window, super dark room! The shower was small and the water in the sink kept dripping. The flush was barely working and the AC loud.
For what I paid it was hardy worth it.
Just a one night stay in an upstairs room, it was great. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean. Best location. We have stayed here previously a number of years ago. Great value will stay again. Lovely well looked after heritage building .

It is a budget hotel in Singapore, so basically the price is the reason to stay there. Location is very good close to the metro, all other stuff is just mediocre.
Actually booked for my friends from Japan.
So far they commented its comfortable and near the heart of real Singapore, not the fabricated modern look.
Thumbs up for keeping the heritage alive!
Our overall experience was good. The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located near a subway station and there ’s lots of food stalls around the area. Most staff were friendly however the female receptionist during our stay was rude and unfriendly. All other staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Despite the bad experience with the female receptionist, we had a comfortable stay at Perak hotel.
Very dated interior and not all was working. Shower very basic and bathroom looked dirty. Bed was fine and all l needed for a layover but would not recommend for a long stay
It needs some severe renovations.
It is well located for public transportation and touristic attractions in Little India.

Everyone was nice, from cleaners to receptionist. The room was nice. I didn't like the bathroom, mold was building up in the bathroom. I called the cleaner to clean it. He was very helpful.

Overall I found this hotel to be adequate. As a lone traveler on business, it was convenient for me. The staff were friendly and helpful, including keeping universal plug adapters on hand.
The property itself is dated with a rather rustic elevator that left me preferring the stairs. The décor in the common areas conveyed the Indian influence combined with kind of a colonial feeling, which I enjoyed. It had sort of a 1950s movie feel to it.
The room I had would have been crowded for two people. The bed was OK. Some have complained that the beds are uncomfortable, but I didn't find it to be too bad. What is definitely missing in the room is power outlets. There are only a couple, and none directly bedside. The bathroom was small with a shower obviously made for smaller stature individuals. It served the function, but was somewhat limiting.
The room had a hair dryer, a closet (perfect for hanging clothes and getting things out of the way) a safe, a TV that I never used, a small table and a chair, and little else. The A/C was enough to keep the room cool, but never cold, which is how I tend to prefer a room. I wasn't in the room much during the day, but when I was the temperature did creep back up a bit. It was fine at night.
Breakfast is advertised as a buffet, but it's basically a boiled egg, potato fritters, some fruit, and toast. The lady serving was quiet but pleasant.
The neighbor was fun for the Indian feel and nearby restaurants were plentiful and enjoyable.
