Good for the money
Basic hotel. Staff very friendly. Free breakfast buffet of toast and spreads with cakes. Clean room with safe. Free coffee/ tea room, and in your room. Quiet quirky area. On Mount Emily so steps and slopes when walking out. Not pitched as a luxury hotel, but we liked it. I would stay again.

No bell boy. Asked for help to take down my luggage but was told a lie. Receptionist said shortage of staff but the truth was they do not have this service. Pity because what else are you lying to us?

The cleanness was really good. The conditions of the room was excellent. The only issue was that I asked for a pillow quite late at the night. However, I was told by the staff that they could manage a pillow within half an hour but the staff never came. Never even updated whether they can provide me with it or not. I stayed up for a while for that but then went back to sleep. It would have been nice if someone came to my room to inform me that a pillow could not be arranged.

Good price for Singapore and the room was very comfortable. They sre very practical with all their services. To improve: I missed not having eggs for breakfast! Only bread, cereal and fruits.

Quiet and nice hotel, good facilities.
The hotel staff is very helpful, location wise it is the single hotel I've stayed in Singapore that's actually in a very quiet place. Can easily be reached by car, and walking distance to shops/restaurants/MRT. The rooms do not have a TV, a refrigerator, or toothbrush - just some inconvenience but it is understood as it is not a high priced one. The bed is somewhat uncomfortable and noisy due to springs. Toilet doesn't flush properly from time to time, and the water heater really only keeps the water warm for a very short period, after which the rate of the water outlet needs to be adjusted; this is about adjusting once per 30 seconds or so. Having washing machines, a relaxing area, and a rooftop is really really nice, except the rooftop only opens until 11 pm, so not much chance to use it as usually after a busy day it would have already past 11 when I wanted to relax a bit.

Comfortable stay, but be aware of toilet size.
The location is very convenient, you get a very tranquil location, yet surrounded by eateries and is walkable to Little India, Tekka Market, Dhoby Ghaut and the Selegie area. Only issue I had was that the toilet was smaller than expected, but it is still sufficient to take a shower. It is only the larger sized individuals who will have to worry about it. (The size is based on the private room). Rooms were comfortable and the reception also sells drinks and instant noodles if you're lazy to head out to search for food.

Budget friendly and really great !!
We stayed here last minute after a disaster with our first choice of hostel. We were so thankful for this place - even though a little more expensive than our hostel, we were happy to pay it. It was reasonably priced for the quality of the place. It was safe, clean, stylish and exactly what we were looking for. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the rooftop lounge was a super addition. Very happy with our stay here!!

Basic Hotel at affordable rate
A very basic hotel nearby to Bugis. Do not expect anything fancy but it does come with all the basic stuff. However, the pantry area with hot/filter water dispenser area is a bit dirty, detected some cockroach there. Hope that the hotel's management will look into this issue.

Hangout Hotel Reviews
The location is near Little India MRT. You can choose exit A from that MRT. After that, you must cross the park and climb so many stairs before you arrive to the Hangout Hotels. It's not suitable if you carry heavy and many luggage. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel ambient is good. However, the size of the room is very small. The breakfast is good but with small choice of food.

Terribly shabby
Mid-sold on hotels.com website. The condition of both the exterior and interior was almost indescribable: tired, filthy (unkempt reception, façade and public spaces). Poor lighting adding to the misery of the place. I was horrified and very upset.

The view was awesome from my double plus room, with the windows on two sides of the walls. I love the colour scheme of the room too.

A great no-frills place in a great location!
A fantastic no-frills place. Loved the coffee availability on the 2nd floor. It would've been nice to have a small fridge in the room, but that's not a deal-breaker.

Hotel is on a hill, be mindful of the climb. You get used to it though after a while. Walking to Orchard street or other attractions is not recommended due to the heat and humidity. Take the MRT when walking distance exceeds 10-15 min

Stayed here 3 times and ratings having gone from 5 to 3. First time great full breakfast buffet with eggs, sausages, etc. as well as asian food. Second time featured rubberized scrambled eggs on occasion and some yoghurt. This time featured no eggs, no yoghurt, bread, toast, peanut butter and jelly and a total lack of concern that this was the only breakfast available within a half a mile of the hotel. Oh yes, forgot the corn flake cereal which only served to make life worse for somebody trying to avoid diabetes. There will be no fourth time.

Nice Stay at Mt Emily near little India
Nice and comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. Near to Little India MRT and many restaurants and Cafe for food. Mostly surrounded with greenery and quite area at end of road area. Complimentary breakfast was bread,cakes, jam, fruit juice, coffee, cereals and milk, orange and apple. just a simple breakfast.Have a common area at 2nd Floor which is nicely done up. Also have a rooftop Garden to lookout. would recommend the hotel.

Quiet area but inconvenient location
- Quiet and calm because the location is dead-end of a road and near a park. - Spent more than 80 dollars on Grab in 2 days 2 nights because hotel is quite a walking distance from the nearest MRT. - Deceiving communication, room with window is based on availability. No point paying that extra bucks selecting it. - Water temperature for shower is occasionally hot only.
