Located in Little India, it's a cheap area that's still quite central. Ladies may not feel safe walking around at night, as locals there have a tendency to stare at foreigners. First thing you notice when you arrive is a police billboard that warns of a series of thefts in Bunc Hostel. I forget the exact number, however it left an impression on me. Rooms are quite fine for the price. Beds are okay. Downside is that cubicles don't have curtains to offer an illusion of privacy. There's air conditioning (not turned on until after midnight) and a fan on the roof (which started making a squeaky noise on my fourth night, so it was turned off) Breakfast supposedly starts at 5:30am. On the day of my flight (9am) I hung around until about 6am, even checking the time with some of the staff, but they failed to deliver on time. Breakfast is just instant coffee, a sash of oatmeal, and bread with jam/butter. Upside is that you can eat as much bread as you want. Shower room is quite humid. Most shower stalls are to be closed with a curtain, which will fly around and flash everyone with your nudity thanks to a quite unhelpful couple of fans that are installed on the ceiling. The administration should really consider investing in some actual doors for the showers. Listen, you get what you pay for. The hostel lands somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. I still spent a tolerable couple of nights there. If you're looking for a slightly more comfortable experience though, keep looking.

...unlike other hostels that I've stayed in...BUNC Hostel has the ambiance of "communal living" :-)) and with the quality service provided by the staff (at any shift; reception and janitorial alike), it won't be surprising if there's more BUNCs popping up at another location...well done BUNC Hostel, keep up the good work...

Full of lies, you won't be safe here.

Do not stay here if you are a woman or Caucasian. This place is catered to Indian men only. We could not believe how rude and racist the staff and other guests were to us. The police have posted a sign in front of the hostel tallying the amount of thefts reported at the hostel. The breakfast is a bag of bread, when it runs out, that's it, no "brrakfast" for you. This was the third hostel I stayed at in Singapore. It was easily the worst one I stayed at out of 6 countries in South East Asia.

Jalan Besar駅の目の前にありBugisへも徒歩圏内と、アクセスは非常に良く、スタッフも親切でした。 ベッドの照明がオン/オフのみで調節できないため、就寝時に他のベッドの灯りが気になったのが唯一マイナス。

I knew it's a hostel and i shouldnt expect anyhing much. Exellent location i must admit. Right opposite the subway. Very convenient! Great staff services! I'd like to point out on a cleanliness a bit. A pillow on my bed looked like it had never been changed with some clear stains. So i had to cover it with my scarf the whole stay. No standard needs like shampoo and shower gel the bathrooms. The only one wall-attached-hair-dryer in the girls toilet has really weak heat and no empty plug is provided if you bring yours. Not convenient if you have long hair. Hostel's cleanliness and some standard needs have to be improved.

Not my cup of tea

This was definitely a learning experience. My flight arrived late so I checked in at night with plenty of people at the lobby with their luggage in hand. The front desk clerk helping me check in was nice. I got my room and didn't like what I see. The room was super small with 8 beds, 4 beds in each side (2 on top and 2 on the bottom) with a very tiny connecting space. You have to put your carry on luggage in your bed and my bed smelt awful, which could be coming from one of my fellow bunk mates. My biggest concern is security. There was no cover to your bed and you'd have to bring/lug around your luggage if you wanna be secure. I feel like anyone could just steal your bookbag, which has my passport, credit cards and money. The whole set-up wasn't secure (in my opinion). The price is amazing, but I just didn't feel secure and safe. So I met with my friends at the lobby that same night and book a hotel for my stay at Singapore. I'm sure this setup is more than sufficient for the more experienced traveler, but that's not me.

Very strategic location; 5-minutes walking distance to a coach terminal and MRT station. Cleanliness could've been better as there's a layer of dust on the shelves located at the foot of the bunk beds. It was unnerving to see cobwebs and dust on the fixtures and wiring if you get the top bunk though... The lockers are located under the beds but doesn't come with locks; you need to bring your own padlock. The free breakfast consists of the bare minimal; white bread with 3-4 spreads and a cup of coffee/tea. WiFi is very slow.

!!!DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Woke up with bed bugs crawling over my bead, they offered my another room on another floor, inspected under the bed and found huge bed bugs under the other bed too. After booking and paying for three nights I naturally checked out and asked for a refund, they provided me with an email to get in touch and still I'm waiting for a reply, try to avoid this place if possible!

The dorm beds are nothing like a capsule and basically normal bunk beds without partition walls. I did not sleep there. You can however arrive at the hostel early, wash your clothes, and shower. I also notice that they have gender segregated shower rooms that makes dressing easier.

Great for moving around easily.

Was in dorm with at least 4 snoring man :D place was clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Next to mrt. Minus for check in time. No minute before 3pm. Even tho bed could be free hours before and room cleaned.
