"The outside of the buildings looked a little old, but inside, it was very clean and very comfortable with an impressive amount of helpful appliances for food and temperature/humidity comfort. The shower and bedroom were particularly nice. I would have given this hotel a perfect 5 star rating, but unfortunately the bedroom window (Room #7) faced a separate residential house that had many very loud and annoying dogs that barked every day from 6am to 12pm without stopping. "A hot spring-style bath (onsen) is terrific. It helped me relax after the long international trip from the U.S. (Boston). The breakfast is just gorgeous. Both Western and Japanese-style food are delightful, especially for Westerners. Since most clients are male Japanese businessmen, you get to see the non-touristy, "real" side of Japan. "
