There are hair on the bathtub and bedsheets. There is a very strong odor like cologne. We left the room to request different room but there is no room available. The trip is canceled.

The only problem with the hotel was that it did not look like the room had been cleaned in weeks. Luckily I kind of assumed that so I brought my own cleaning supplies and clean the entire hotel room myself with the help of my significant other. Other than that not too too bad. Not recommended for the easily squeamish. But definitely recommended for people that just want to rest their head and enjoy the Jersey Shore experience.

Property location was great, but everything was so dirty. We checked in late at about 9:30pm so didn’t want to start looking for another room at that hour. I don’t think our room was cleaned - not the bedsheets or the bathroom. It was pretty gross. Blood spots by the sink, soiled toilet lid,strong cigarette odor, knife carving on a wall,rusty refrigerator, loose door locks, sticky table surface, sloped bed, smelly bedsheets

A l'arrivée, la chambre qu'on nous a présenté n'etait pas acceptable, on nous en a présenté une autre qui n'était pas mieux dans l'établissement voisin. Finalement, le responsable, du prénom de Dave, nous a présenté une chambre dans un autre établissement, sur larue suivante que nous avoc acceptée. Au moins, la baignoire n'était pas écaillée et les planchers étaient en céramique qui avait l'air neuve. Merci au "gérant" d'avoir fait amende honorable. Nous ne retournerons pas là. C'est aussi inacceptable que le prix pour la nuitée double pour le vendredi et triple le samedi. Considérant le type de motel, c'est très exagéré comme tarif

The property had no check in office. Had to check in at a different hotel. Room was dirty. Bathtub did not work. Towel in drain. Bathroom sink broke. Dirty floors. Noisy all night. People screaming and yelling. Room door would not shut.

You get what you pay for... my room had nats. The fridge didn't close. The bed has bed bug stains even tho it had bed bug covers. Shower was clogged. I went out of my own way to clean the room and disinfect it to feel atleast alittle more comfortable. I can see why they don't do refunds. They know they'll lose alot of money. Front desk was helpful but was unprofessional with language use. But what can I say you get what you paid for.

We were all afraid that the Mexican drug cartels would bust in the door at any moment. The building could not possibly been up to code. The door had been kicked in (more than once) and never properly repaired. Smoke alarm inop. CO alarm inop. One tv Chanel in Spanish. I have slept in better places while fighting in Iraq.

I normally don't leave bad reviews on any place; but, I do feel I must do it this time... because I don't want others to come to this place and experience the same level of dissapointment as I did... dirty, old, a TV from the 70s (big black box in the back of it), no remote controls, broken blinds, moldy tubs... This place needs major upgrades. For the amount of money it costs; I think they can do a lot better. Not expecting a 4-5 star service; but, you can at least reach a "two star level". This place is not even a half-star at this moment.

the WORST hotel i’ve ever been at!!! booked the hotel weeks before and paying the first payment of 168 i get there only to be made to pay the full amount with no refund of my first payment the rooms were very dirty there was no hot running water for a shower overall this hotel was just the absolute worst don’t waste your money on poor staff and a dirty room your better off sleeping in your car!

The saying goes “you get what you pay for” but at almost $200 a night, you think you’d be getting a little more than what was offered. We were unable to deadbolt our door, which would’ve been useful when someone started pounding on our door at 2:00AM. The bathroom… tiles were broken, the door didn’t close properly, no proper ventilation, shower did not drain, sink was outside of the bathroom. The entire room smelt of mold/mildew. The floors were covered in condensation upon arrival. The TV was completely outdated, on top of the fact the cable bill wasn’t paid, so we could not drown the neighbors noise that was on going until midnight. Overall I give this place a negative rating. -3 out of 10.

Its a decent hotel..listen its no 5 star hotel..but its an inexpensive hotel that is super close to everything on the boardwalk..so if you dont plan on spending much time in the room this is the spot to get

Total dump with a good location.
The location to the boardwalk is great, and Seaside is a fun town. So if you just need a place to keep your crap and sleep, this is a place where you could do that. As for the room, pretty nasty, I have attached a picture of the tub which we debated whether it was dried blood or rust at the bottom. The towel rack was ripped off the wall. The walls are so thin that you can hear everyone doing everything, as well as the seagulls outside the room. There were also some homeless people milling about the place. If you are a light sleeper or a germophobe, keep looking. If you just need walls, AC, and a bed, it has those. The pool, oddly enough, seemed nice and clean.

On the upside the pool was very clean and well maintained and had it basically to ourselves.On the downside, the rooms are very outdated and had a fairly strong odor.We did get a good nights sleep though.

Obviously this is not a fancy place; it’s an economy motel and certainly isn’t the nicest. Although it could certainly be described as “sketchy” my group had fun and would go back. The staff was nice and It’s close to the beach.

It is a great location just one block from boardwalk and beach. The owner kindly allowed us to park two vehicles overnight instead of the typical one. While it was still a bit sandy and walls could have been freshly painted, it was super convenient,air conditioning worked well,it was a great price,two comfy king beds, and we got to use our pool as well as the one next door. Great trip!!!

This place was filthy. I wouldn't even take a shower because tub was filthy. Thank god it was a one night stay. Paid $250. You couldn't pay me to stay again. All the reviews on how great the place it and how clean it is have to be the owners because i'm half tempted to call the health department.

DONT DO IT!!
Booked at this hotel, assuming it would look somewhat like the pictures.. WAY OFF!! Hotel was GROSS!! Looked like an ashtray fell into our ac unit, floors were gross and separating at the seams, chunk of 1/2 eaten grilled cheese was outside the door, tiles in bathroom were all uneven with grout spilled all over, tub looked like it had been painted 10 times and it was all peeling, no covers over light fixtures, room smelt like a musty damp ashtray, we had to use chip clips and hang a sheet over the window bc we had no blinds or curtains, beds are just sitting on top of make shift 2x8 “frames” tv (old box tv) was static and only had like 5 channels, doors could shake open (and had a huge gap around that you could see outside through!! On top of that, the office for this hotel is not open, you check in and out next door!! Also, no phone in the room (we have a cellphone but still) paint was mixmatched & you could see where they tried to touch up the paint! Hole in bathroom door (looked like someone punched it) I understood it wasn’t advertised as a 5⭐️ Hotel, but for the $300 a night that I spent, I would expect a bit more… save your money, or spend a little more for better… Only positive thing is the location, literally 1 block from the center of the boardwalk

I have never ever left a bad review no matter the situation I've ever been in, good or bad, however this is a must. I have no idea where they got the pictures of their rooms on their site but it def aint this place! We opened the door to our room and BAM! The smoke detector was hanging about a foot from the ceiling by exposed electrical wires. The bathroom door was hanging, literally hanging, by 1 hinge with 4" sheetrock screws protruding from the jamb. I pulled back the bed spread to almost like a mustard stains all over the sheets. I continued to pull back the blanket to find the whole bed had a layer of sand in it. It was absolutely disgusting and this place should not be an option on Expedia! I was refunded $200 of my $291 for the 1 night (crazy they could try to charge that much). My family loaded the Jeep back up and went and found a brand new immaculate TownPlace Suites about 1 1/2 hours away for $170 for the night. Wish I could upload pictures of Sea Gem Motel rooms or as my family now calls it "Sea Germs"!

Get what you pay for
When I went to check in they told me they did not have my reservation on file, but then after some searching they found it. Also almost charged me for all of the nights when I had already prepaid for one. The room was alright, the beds are actually pretty comfortable and the sheets/pillows looked pretty clean. However the side of my mattress was very stained and one of the towels we got had a yellow tint to it. The tv worked (it is a very old TV and the dresser it was on had duct tape on it) and the AC was excellent, our room got very cold very quickly so that’s a big plus. Bathroom had a couple holes in the ceiling but wasn’t to bad in terms of cleanliness you can just tell it hasn’t been updated in a while. Overall for the price the stay was pretty good and the location is great. The room was also a great size, we had two king size beds. But remember you get what you pay for, don’t go with high expectations. Also, the woman at the front desk who tried to check us in (before they couldn’t find out reservation) was great, very very friendly!

The guy paul was pleasant the room was 3/5 2 colossal king Beds small bring bath mat, lamp, candle, cover and febreeze also bleach cleaner. It’s really not that bad for the price of $69 wit tax $80 for 4 people. They own 2 hotels next to each so they r usually sitting there so we extended our stay for another day same price. Receptionist SHIRLEY is a Gem. Towels and wash cloths were clean. They allow half day stay for a fee. It’s not luxury but you came to be close to the beach
