「A lovely hotel in the city centre. I had a refurbished room which was very comfortable with modern decor and feel. Breakfast was plentiful but could have been varied a bit from day to day. I enjoyed using the pool but the sun umbrellas were not in use as I was told they had previously blown over in the wind. I couldn’t help but notice that other places in Funchal (bars etc) had similar umbrellas and used well designed sand bags to ensure they didn’t tip over. Maybe a something the hotel can look...

「Very good sized apartment in a good location, within walking distance to the marina, old town, restaurants and a nearby shopping centre with a supermarket. Simple check in process via a door code. Very quiet in the evenings. The shower is large but due to the set up the water does spill over as there is no shower door. The apartment got warm which was ok in April with the plug in fan but would likely be too hot in the summer with no air con」

It is very ideal for solo or couple travellers who aren't hiring a car as the location is incredibly central with sights restaurants and transfer pick ups all a few minutes walk away.
