「We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff was excellent, helpful and friendly. We forgot our toothbrushes and promptly the staff located replacements , plus cold bottled water. We were very pleased. The breakfast was tasty and delicious with a wide variety of breakfast items. A very conscientious employee was constantly replacing food and wiping all countertops while smiling and singing. 「Recently updated everything felt new and clean. We had a King on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. There was a separate bedroom with a separate thermostat for the bedroom and the living area, something not often found in similar hotels. The room was super spacious with a well appointed kitchen area including a Keurig coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The rate for this room was very reasonable and worth every dime. The room was quiet as well. The shower had great water...

「Our second stay here. A repeat customer from a few years ago - fondly remembered it and specifically sought it out for our stay. Beach right off side porch, has an upper and lower deck, can use their lawn chairs on the beach. Please be cautious with the water though (especially with kids) as the constant rollers makes for a strong undertow. The aquatic themed bedspread a nice touch. Ice, microwave, good sized fridge. Nice spot. Try the New China takeout a couple of minues north for a tastey...

「My 10 day stay at PortD’Hiver B&B was a real pleasure. Great location, great rooms , great breakfasts, great staff, and quite possibly the best cookies I’ve ever had !! 😊 I only wish they had a restaurant on the premises, but there are several within a short walking distance. 「On the first night, our hvac unit burned up at 3:30 am. The overnight attendant, young lady, acted quickly and moved us to a new room. That act alone could have earned Avid 5 stars. However, on the morning of checkout, a new desk attendant coldly denied our request for a noon checkout. She said I can only give you 30 minutes!!! We visit family in Melbourne on a regular basis, but we won’t stay there again or recommend Avid. You have two shining stars at that location—the young lady who moved us...
