"Nice stay at the Barcelo Hotel in San Jose. It feels quite luxurious. The staff is helpful and professional. Many amenities and hobbies possibles around the resort. The decor could be a bit update but maybe the whole concept is about the vintage style. The morning buffet was good and had a lot of varieties. Whether it is with your loved ones, family or for work, I would definitely recommand."

"Ce qui m’a plus de cet hotel est son emplacement. Bien franchement la chambre est de loin celle que l’hotel montre sur la foto qu’on voit publier sur Expédia. Le restaurant est fermé x 2 semaines. Il m’avait dit que le café serait servi le matin mais cela dépend si le propriétaire décide d’en fournir ou non !!! Côté propreté j’ai vu 2 cafards dans les marches d’escalier interieur . Je ne comprends pas pourquoi au Costa Rica tu prends possession de la chambre seulement apres 3 hr pm presque partout aum monde c’est a partir de 11 hr c’est desagreable trainé dans le lobby avec ses valises et finalement le pire c’est le bruit du TRAIN qui passe à l’arrière de l’hôtel, c’est mal commode pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger"

"I have stayed at the Milan regularly for almost 5 years. Previously I felt the value was ok, so I returned again and again. The last time I stayed was yesterday April 15th, 2026 and I have to say that I was disappointed. Trying to rest in the afternoon but unable as the staff made a ridiculous amount of noise and constant conversation. Due to the tile floors and flat surfaces, the noise is amplified and it was impossible to get the rest I desperately needed. Also, I found some of the staff uncooperative and with a bad attitude. There are many choices in this neighborhood ans I will choose an alternative hotel. It is a shame that customer loyalty doesnt count anymore "
