"Overall good place to stay with a free shuttle bus that took us to many places around the area. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. "
"Beautiful hotel close to beach and town. Excellent beach bar with great staff right next to the water and walking distance to any restaurant in town. Also has an extensive lunch menu with a lot of tasty dishes."
"Very nice hotel with access to a wonderful beach. Because it was winter, we were not able to do watersports because of the sea condition but it was still fun and kids enjoyed the park and the waterslides. Excellent destination for family."
"Was a lovley stay very friendly staff couldn't want for nothing cheers to all staff, rooms very spacious little dated but dont let that put you of it was a lovely stay"
"Santa Maria est sans danger pour des promeneurs de jour comme de nuit. L'hôtel à 2 pas du centre où l'on trouve bars et restos. J'y retournerai volontiers."
"Loved the location and closeness to the beach and shopping. Lots of restaurants to choose from but most of the time defaulted to the Oceans Cafe for the service, the entertainment, the food and the awesome staff"

"Hilton Cabo Verde is an excellent location for families. We enjoyed 7 nights here and had a great time especially the access to a quiet, clean, and beach with turquoise water. There was even a centre for scuba diving activities. We also managed to use the spa and get some great massages esp as we got the July discount. Rooms are spacious and well kept. "
"It’s a great hotel, excellent value for the money. Hotel is located very central and doesn’t have a private beach, what means that at the beach club anyone can come and take sun loungers as long as they pay, which is fine just something to be aware of if you are looking for a private beach.
Hotel is really clean everywhere and there is staff making sure it’s staying that way. Massage at the hotel is very good too. Buffer breakfast is average which is expected. Overall it’s a great hotel. It also have a guest pick up option from the airport which is great priced. "
"Wonderful comfy beds . Nice breakfasts. Helpful staff. Clean.
Piri piri restaurant on site was a disaster. Husband ordered a pizza finally got it .mine didnt turn up. Waiter said sorry coming in few minutes , half an hour later turned up with a plate of seafood rice. We were only one of 4 people. Just a bad night , he said he was sorry and no charge. Think someone was spaced out!"

"I stayed here for one night before catching a flight to another island. At €100 per night – the most expensive rate I’ve paid on Cape Verde – it was a huge disappointment.
As a Gold Member on Expedia, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine, which was missing. Instead, my room came with a cockroach (photo attached). Maybe it drank the wine for me.
The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower drain was clogged, and mosquitoes thrived in the stagnant water. Housekeeping seemed questionable too – the first thing I saw was a squished mosquito smeared on the wall. When I asked for another room, the night porter said the hotel was fully booked.
For one night, it’s manageable, but for this price, you’d expect better. Breakfast was fine, though I never got my omelet after waiting 30 minutes. The cockroach, however, met its end and became a feast for ants by morning.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel – it’s way overpriced and feels too "eco-friendly" for comfort."
"The resort have couple of restaurants, a supermarket and a beach. You can take a bus or rent a car, but this is a walking distance from downtown. Overall value is excellent. "
