「The Perestrello has recently been refurbished and our room on the 2nd floor of the annex was lovely. The bed was comfy, the room had plenty of storage/hanging space, a good size safe, small refrigerator and quiet air conditioning. The bathroom was spotless with a walk in rain fall shower. Our room had a balcony which got the sun until early afternoon. We used the pool in the garden as well as the one in the adjoining (by a short bridge) Miramar. The gardens and pool areas are really well cared...

「Lovely atmosphere without any kids. The hotel was fully booked but didn't feel crowded. The deluxe room was worth it - lovely coffee from the coffee machine and a little bar/fridge & robes. The location was a short way uphill out of the town but in a nice area and not a long walk for anyone with reasonable fitness, There were plenty of buses. You could walk downhill to a bus stop and get off further uphill on the way back. There was also a hotel minibus into the town. We had a great stay! 」

「Excellent location in old Funchal. Very close to Harbor front and to museums, shops, services. Although there are no staff on site, check in was smooth, and we felt secure with the locked doors we had to go through to keep residents safe. For the most part, we had timely responses to queries to staff if we had questions hotel/room/airport transportation as needed. 」

「Schöner Außenpool (nicht beheizt), hübsche kleine Anlage, Zentrum fußläufig zu erreichen (ca. 500 Meter den Berg runter vorbei am Hafen durch einen schönen Park). Etwas in die Jahre gekommene Zimmer, aber gut ausgestattet. Für einen Städtetrip als Familie zu empfehlen.」
