「Staff is very friendly. Diving is excellent. Overwater bungalows are nice, especially the decks on the water with hammocks. Good snorkeling. Grounds are well kept. Free transportation to and from the airport. Gorgeous reef nearby makes for spectacular diving and snorkeling. 」

「The location is perfect--steps from the beautiful beach and a quick walk to dozens of great restaurants. Breakfast was included with our stay and we really enjoyed the options. Excellent coffee and services in the clean, air-conditioned cafe. Our room was clean upon arrival and the cleaning staff was great. Some quirks--we hung our towels to be reused to safe water but the cleaning staff always took them and left brand new ones. We were able to get clean beach towels when we needed them. ...

「My stay at the Oceanview Hotel was great, but what truly sets it apart is the owner, Edgar, and his wonderful family. They are incredibly hospitable and friendly. We struck up a conversation over lunch at the hotel restaurant—where the food was excellent—and ended up talking about sports. 「My stay at the Reef House was exactly what I wanted. It has the old Roatan charm to an old dive shop that has the most welcoming staff I have ever met. From the owner Davey to Keith the IT/Bartender and the friendliest cook staff that makes great down home cooking. David the dive master has been out on the reef longer than most have known about Roatan. He knows some really cool places to see.」

「We spent 14 days at Splash Inn over December–January, and this was our third stay and there’s a reason we keep coming back! The rooms are clean, the staff is wonderful, and the food is consistently delicious. The hotel’s location is extremely convenient, with everything you need just a 2–5 minute walk away. West Bay is easily accessible by a $5 water taxi that departs right outside the hotel, and the airport is only a $25 taxi ride. The dock space is the best around and perfect for watching...
