Sweet little inn. Kind and helpful staff. Zack in the office was especially wonderful — I spoke to him when booking my reservation — he was attentive, and stayed in-touch by phone that evening before my very late arrival in order to make sure there was nothing for me to worry about. My room was quiet and clean. When staying alone feeling safe and sound is important, and I did. Parking is right in front of your room. There’s a patio with a cute fire-pit and chairs to enjoy, lots of restaurants and shops within steps, too. Cute gardens on the grounds of the in. and friendly people work there. I’ll definitely stay again and I highly recommend. It’s your “charming but basic” vibe — exactly what you’d expect from an inn in Cambria.

While I love staying at the Bluebird, I am not happy with the changes too management. The first issue was the first night the internet wasn't available. Now that in itself isn't a big deal, however the TV is attached to the internet. Sometimes having a TV helps ones sleep in a new place order drown out an upstairs neighbor who doesn't know how they are etc. The attitude of the older morning staff well we can't do much about the cable company. Previous experience with the wonky internet was check the relay box and work on making it right. Another issue was every time I had stayed (weekend), the fire pit was left on until 10 pm. The evening fellow was literally standing at 9:00 pm. Maybe having a overlapped shift would be nice. I'd hate to be running late on arrival and having to call a number to check in because there's nobody to help with a late check-in.

We left behind an unopened very expensive bottle of vodka we immediately called hotel at least four hours before they gave the room to somebody else and they told Us the bottle wasn’t there. The bottle was a birthday present and I thought it was very shady of them not to give it back one hour after we checked out and four hours before they could give the room to somebody else I won’t trust this Hotel again and I will not recommend it to anybody..

Staff were nice but the room had a wall heater and it just made the room have an odor of gas. My child was throwing up for a few hours and I’m still not sure if that was the reason why or mot.

heater wasn't working properly. no vent in the bathroom. there was political propaganda in the reception area that was not appreciated. I go on vacation to relax and sight see with my family. not to see signs not welcoming law enforcement.

my stay at Bluebird Inn was great as far as the inn was. As for the weather, it rained my entire trip. Of course that was not their fault, but it was the distinguishing memory of this trip. I have stayed at Bluebird Inn several times now and have used it as a halfway stopping point between socal and norcal. I have always been happy with service, staff and grounds. This time I decided to stay in a deluxe room for 2 nights for the last weekend of my trip. The upgrade was worth it for me. I liked the fireplace, which threw off a surprising amount of heat. Plenty of hot water for shower. I know its not a big deal to most people, but i liked the lighted mirror in bath. I couldn't really sit out on the balcony but appreciated the option. I did see that the creek behind the hotel was running a lot of water. Again, that might not much to many people, but it was kind of hypnotizing. I appreciate the gardens behind my balcony. I will stay again.

The Bluebird Inn is a little gem in Cambria. The ambiance is a mixture of an English garden landscape with modern and very comfortable rooms. The Inn is very dog friendly with a clean open area next to the creek out back. One can sip tea, coffee etc. in the garden by the creek, the cozy lodge, or fire pit. The rooms are clean with plenty of towels and even has a nice sized fridge. Linn's Easy as Pie is a 3 minute walk away, so is Robins and all kinds of shopping is within walking distance. I hope to return sooner than later. Highly recommend.
