The hotel is in a great location—there’s a pharmacy on the corner, plenty of food options nearby, the beach is within walking distance, and Old San Juan is just a short Uber or car ride away.
Unfortunately, the experience was affected by ongoing construction, which was never mentioned at the time of booking. The elevators were out of service, so if your room is on a higher floor, be prepared to carry your own luggage, as there’s no staff available to assist. One day, the power went out for over 30 minutes without any explanation. Construction would start as early as 7:00–7:30 AM, making it impossible to sleep in and truly relax while on vacation. On another occasion, the fire alarm was triggered, and no one communicated that it was a false alarm—I woke up frightened and had to call the front desk myself just to be told to ignore it.
There was also a day when we were informed there would be no water for a few hours, which was incredibly inconvenient, and throughout my stay, the water had a strong chlorine smell. Whenever I had an issue and called the front desk, the response was slow—sometimes taking over two hours and only getting resolved after I repeatedly followed up. In one instance, they didn’t answer the phone at all, and when I went downstairs, the staff member was on a personal call, which may explain why no one picked up.
