First off, I would like to say that Ivannie and Jose, we’re very accommodating hosts. Jose was easy to talk to and responded promptly and was always professional. The area was nice. There are a couple of bars, wonderful small restaurants, and a delicious coffee shop that all are in walking distance. We tried about 4 restaurants in the area, and all were great! The beach (literally a 5 minute walk) was the best part. Keep in mind that there are apartment complexes that block the ocean view, so don’t think you’ll be able to see the entire ocean from your window. Also, if you’re renting a car, definitely let the hosts know in advance, I forgot to mention this, but Jose was able to offer a parking spot without any hesitation!
Ok, if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not the place. This area seemed to be very busy both in the morning and at night. At times, It was hard for us to sleep at night due to the constant music blaring on the streets, the horn honking from cars, etc.
Despite being told on a phone call that there wasn’t going to be any construction that was going to take place during our stay, it turned out that there was. Though I believe the workers were doing maintenance work in the front of the building, they started way too early (around 8am). Granted we were visiting from California and were already dealing with a 4 hour time difference, so sleep wasn’t the best at times. Maybe have the workers start around 10am, next time?
