Heard stories of rampant crime and filth on the streets but but did not witness any of that. We felt safe walking all over the Fisherman's Wharf area and neighborhood immediately surrounding the motel as well as at Union Square (huge police presence)

I used to live in San Francisco and was back visiting family. As a city, it is still hanging on. Don't get stuck in the doom loop. There is a lot of joy and beauty here. So many local artists and shops. Brilliant food. Just stunning, wonderful food.

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities and my girlfriends all time favorite. We come every year so I can get a break from the hubby and we can run the 1/2 marathon. Love walking around and exploring and the food was amazing everywhere we went.

If you're looking for a place to spend a week or just a couple of quick days, this is the place. So many friendly people, great history, beauty, shopping and a vast array of cultures and sites. We could easily walk or use the public transportation.

The last time we were in "SF" was in 2006. We heard bad things about the city after Covid and it's NOT true! We walked every day (up to 6 miles) , and saw a clean city with a lot of happy people having a good time. No garbage, no tents! Come back!

I walked 41 miles in 4 1/2 days. The hills are challenging, but worth the hike for the views. Pier 39 is an abomination, but that's tourism for ya. Dine in the neighborhoods. The walk to the Golden Gate Bridge was spectacular along the beaches.

We are locals (Marin County) and love SF. In three days we had fish and chips at the Wharf, Golden Boy Pizza and tirimisu in North Beach, dim sum and egg tarts in China Town. And we walked and cable car'ed to it all. We had an amazing staycation.

Loved the city. Did the cable cars which was a short walk from the hotel. Union square was a 10 min walk. Did the Alcatraz tour which was amazing. Saw the Golden Gate Bridge. Be mindful of the fog though! Isn't always visible. Would recommend!
