Elevator apparently doesn't work when it rains. Room was clean enough and basic for an overnight stay. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. A couple of bagels and oatmeal. Desk guy was very nice.

Hampton Inn by Hilton Concord/Kannapolis
Hotel is fine. Would stay again. Staff wasn’t unfriendly but definitely not professional. They would sit behind the desk talking on their personal cell phones or to eachother and ignore us while we stood there waiting for someone to help until they decided they were done and ready to help.

Comfort Suites Salisbury I-85
Easy on/off highway, food selections within walking distance, hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Warm cookies in the evening helped :)
