Decent Stay, But Some Frustrations
We stayed at the Super 8 in Woodburn, OR, and overall it was an okay experience, but there were a few important issues worth mentioning.
First, the continental breakfast was very light—no eggs or meat options at all. Just pancakes, bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, and juice. It felt more like a snack than a full meal.
The bigger issue was the reservation. I had booked the room about 12 days in advance through Expedia, specifically requesting an ADA-accessible room. But when we arrived, the motel had no record of it. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone with Expedia just to ensure our reservation was fulfilled. The room I originally requested and paid for wasn’t available, which was especially disappointing given the importance of ADA accommodations. To be fair, this seemed to be Expedia’s error, not the hotel’s.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly, courteous, and did their best to assist. However, the room above us was very loud—we could hear every step, which made it difficult to relax.
All in all, not a terrible stay, but not a smooth or restful one either. We probably wouldn’t return unless no other options were available in the area.
