This small Upper Peninsula town offers peaceful fishing at Rudyard Pond and nostalgic charm at the Rudyard Historical Museum. Nearby Tahquamenon Falls State Park features spectacular waterfalls, while winter visitors enjoy snowmobiling on local trails connecting to the eastern UP network.
We stayed in the jetted tub room #104. It was very clean, quiet, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the friendly staff kept everything refilled and clean. We travel to the Soo often and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. Inexpensive, clean, quiet, and comfortable enough for sleeping. Decor is outdated, though. We were visiting friends who had a cottage on Lake Superior, so most of our time was spent away from hotel. The only negative was the extreme amount of Republican propaganda in the hotel office.

Owner is friendly, helpful and accomodating. Went out of way to direct me to ships, restaurants and attractions. Breakfast was easy, nice selection and good.
Would stay again when in area.

A last minute stay after a car accident. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel is in the middle of all you want to see and do in the Soo. While it may look old on the outside, the inside is wonderfully updated. While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, there are plenty of great places very close by.

The hotel hospitality staff were exceptional. The hotel, our room and the breakfast area were spotless. Breakfast was delicious and tons of options. Our room faces the lake with gorgeous views. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful with suggestions for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but the young lady at the desk when I checked in was the sweetest and most polite person I've ever encountered in the hospitality industry. And holy cow she was fast! The second night of my stay, I called the front desk for washcloths and toilet paper. I was on the 2nd floor but she must have a secret portal or something because it seemed like she was at the door as soon as I hung up the phone!
The only negative thing I want to mention is the parking lot....

The lady at the front hotel check in desk, Manda, was not helpful at all. She never asked for my drivers license. She was very, very rude. She was not willing to help with my situation at all. So, I went along with her way. The next morning I called the front desk and spoke with Pam. Within 30 minutes Pam and her manager took care of my issue and I had an email from Expedia with a confirmation of my refund from Expedia. And we didn’t have to change rooms on our second night there. Pam and her...

They were such a nice surprise on the main strip of the Island. Clean. Quiet. AND ... they TMd when the room was ready for check in ... before check in hours.
