Great location! The area was clean, safe and the staff were great. Anything you could possibly need was at your disposal. Little market shop next door made it easy to get food and drinks at any given time. A direct walk to the main square & Trevi fountain. The mini fridge was restocked daily with free snacks, juices, and water. Would stay here again

Staff was very friendly overall. The breakfast on the 5th floor had beautiful views and was convenient for a quick breakfast before leaving for the day. Multiple bus stops around within short walking distance made it easy to get to all the big sites in downtown!

Great hotel but quite far from all the fun / lively areas. If you’re good with renting a lime bike or scooter, or walking, then it doesn’t really matter. But if you want to be close to bustling area this isn’t the place. But hotel itself is great. Room was perfect and staff very nice

They are starting to renovate the place, bathroom os super new and clean, hopefully they can upgrade the floor in the room and the corridors

Very friendly staff and great breakfast. AC didn’t work great but overall comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was great and the staff was helpful. There are restaurants nearby but we went during holiday so most of them were closed. Not the hotels fault we just didn’t know. It’s a little far and expensive to takes cabs to see sights so learn the public transportation options because there is a bus right nearby

Staff was pleasant and the breakfast was really good with a lot of options. We did book for a small room, but didn’t know the shower would be so small. I’m not very big either and I had to open the shower door to shave. No ice available anywhere near this property except restaurants if you order soda. The AC at least cooled us down fairly well inside the room but it is set at some point.

We had an issue with the shower drain, which was resolved by switching rooms. However, our second room had a similar problem. We later figured out the issue wasn't the drain itself, but rather the showerhead not fully switching from the handheld to the overhead setting, causing too much water to come out at once. Aside from that, everything was great. The evening staff guy was a bit rude/frustrated as we raised the drain issue in the second room. I think there was a language challenge in the mix as well.

The fire alarm went off for about two hours at one in the morning while we waited outside. I know it’s not the staff’s fault, but an explanation/apology/free breakfast would have helped the situation. It was never explained to anyone what was happening.

This was a great place to stay in Rome. It wasn’t too far from the centre, and it was very affordable compared to other hotels. The list of complimentary items they provide for you is impressive. The rooms were small but comfortable and quaint. The hotel itself felt authentic and homey. Would go back forsure!

1/10 – Stay Away My stay at Best Western Hotel Astrid was an absolute nightmare. The front desk didn’t even have the guts to tell me that there was construction going on right on my floor. The workers had zero common sense about the fact that guests were staying there. They were hammering, drilling, and leaving equipment scattered in the hallway. On top of that, the entire hallway reeked of fresh paint. I should have cut my losses and canceled my stay, but I didn’t. And before anyone asks, “Why didn’t you just ask for a new room?” well, another guest down the hall did exactly that, and the front desk had the audacity to tell her to stop complaining and that “everything would be fine.” That kind of response is beyond unacceptable. For me, I wouldn’t normally tolerate that kind of disrespect, but being in a foreign country, I didn’t want to cause further issues. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Stay away it’s not worth it. You can do better elsewhere.

Great stay at Astrid. Not to far for transportation and away from the craziness of the busy areas. But close enough to a route to take us to a main bus terminal to get anywhere we needed. Staff was helpful and kind. It was agreay visit.
