"My wife and I stayed at Melaya Estate for 3 nights in September 2025. The villa is spacious and comfortable. There is a private pool and direct beach access. It's a quiet area, very peaceful. The staff is excellent. You tell them what you want from their menu and they bring the food to your villa at the specified time. The food is excellent. The manager also helped me find a fantastic deal on another trip later on in my travels once I had left Banyuwangi. The homestay is a very good price and there is a high street around the corner. 1 minute walk from the main train station and a few minutes to the ferry port by bus."

"What a fantastic place to relax. From the first moment, when you drive down the bamboo tunnel, you just know its going to be great. Stayed for a couple of nights in a Cliff Tent Pool Villa, which had great views across the ocean to Menjangan Island. The Cliff Tents are well spaced out, so it is very relaxing. Tents are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Food at both the restaurant and as Room service was excellent, and we had a delicious floating breakfast for both mornings, sat watching deer over the water in the West Bali National Park.. Would highly recommend this place for a getaway, and we already have another booking for our next stay. Just remember that there is not a lot else in this area, other than a snorkelling trip to the island, and you will not be dissapointed"
