"First night: I turned up and there was an event (fair enough these things happen) However no mention of it in the emails sent beforehand. When I asked what time it finishes they said 1am (Fair enough). So i said I need to get up early to travel will I be able to har the music in my room? The receptionists response was "No, you are at the first point wont here it" ok amazing! Well it would have been if I couldnt hear it! Needed to go sleep because i needed to be up at 6am.....boom boom boom boom! 1:30am i managed to get to sleep in the end. When I questioned it with the General Manager I think hes name was Raha, instead of worrying about the fact that his customer had a terrible experience both with information and sleep, his reply was "Our terms and conditions state that we cant guarantee a good nights sleep" and then went on to blame Hotels.com for not having these terms and conditions in big letters on the hotels page!! I had to cancel a meeting and lose money out of pure tiredness, and his response was "Our terms and conditions state we cant guarantee a good nights sleep". Room wasnt cleaned on third day, bath mat had somebody elses curly hairs all over it when i wanted to bath my kids (Check CCTV GM I threw it out the room) Swimming Pool is set up in a dangerous layout for children trying to swim. But I will say the bed was comfortable, its just a shame the two staff members ruined the whole experience. Couldnt even reply to the messages sent on Hotels.com."

"I booked the Royal Toby as a solo traveller. I was made so welcome by the reception staff. I was immediately put at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious and airy. Consisting of a double bed and a big single bed. Facilities were excellent with tea making facilities. And all amenities you would expect. The room was veryclean. Corridors and communal areas were also of a high standard. I had arranged to go out so did not use bar facilities or restaurant. But if the smell was anything to go by it smelled wonderful. My room was quiet despite there being a storm outside. Check out was efficient. The breakfast was of a high standard and excellent quality and service. Over all i would highly recommend the Royal Toby,and am sure i will visit again."

"A gem of a BnB. From the warm friendly and welcoming greeting on arrival, through to the wonderful tasty breakfast in the morning. We only stayed one night, but were made to feel so at home. The rooms and amenities were lovely and clean, with well considered playful decor. The bed was also really comfortable. The full breakfast was a beast a bit much for us but you could pick what you wanted so we went with just bacon, sausage and eggs with toast. It was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were good quality. We would highly recommend and we will be back when we’re next in the area."

"We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect. "
