"What an incredibly lovely place! Paul, the host/manager(?), was especially accommodating and made an excellent breakfast. The only minor downside is the full-size bed, which is smaller than a queen. Otherwise, highly recommended!"

"Room was super clean. Overall decor is old fashioned - country style but that is intentional. Staff was very attentive. Just my personal opinion is that It felt like I was in another person’ house and not a “paying guest”, so for me that felt kind of weird, so I preferred to be inside the room while I was there, but it was just me, and nothing to do with the hotel."

"Sadly we were only there for 1 night. We wish our trip was for a couple so we could have enjoyed more of Bryson City and the Calhoun’s hotel. So very quaint! Lovely big porch with rocking chairs. The morning we checked out it was raining. So we sat on the porch drinking coffee and listening to the rain. "

"The Inn was very quaint and homey. Toni was very welcoming and the food was excellent! Our room was decorated very authentic, however, the room and the attached bath were very small. Loved the location as it was very quiet and had many spots to sit and enjoy nature, including the rooster, and it's just a few minutes from town. I highly recommend the Folkestone Inn."

"Rob and Robin are excellent hosts. Comfortable bed, great breakfasts. Campfire by the stream and the sounds of the stream and the outdoors at night is very relaxing."

"Jacuzzi tub didn’t work steam shower didn’t work fireplace didn’t work. Beds were uncomfortable. But everything else was good."

"No association ever at the front desk, just kept a sign on the door to call their cell, never brought clean towels or toilet paper the whole time we stay and there were ants in the bathroom sink. No excuse as there wasn’t but no body staying there. "
