"La chambre était propre mais la cuisine je n'ai jamais vu ça auparavant, poubelle débordante de déchets, micro ondes sentant le cadavre, impossible de faire bouillir l'eau de mon café, une honte car cette maison fait partie du patrimoine de Rio.
Voiture abandonnée dans la rue, drogués faisant leur neccessidades dans la rue,
Je ne comprends pas que l'on est pas fermée cet établissement.
Nunca voltarei ahi."

"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"A experiência foi muito boa,o Sr Sebastião foi muito solicito e me deixou bem a vontade no hostel.
Bem localizado, fica a 5 minutos de caminhada da Estação Estacio, mas a Estação Afonso Pena fica próximo também.
Os quartos possuem ar condicionado e o banheiro compartilhado atendeu muito bem as minhas necessidades.

"The location of the hotel is perfect as it’s walking distance to copacabana and a great central place to be when you want to branch out to the rest of the city. The hotel had breakfast included which was a nice touch and had a variety of options to choose from. The hotel also has a nice roof top for breaks in between the beach. Those are where the pros end. When we arrived the man at the front desk tried to charge us a full nights stay to check in early. This was apparently a negotiable price bc he knocked it down 100 rs when we said no to his 400rs price. The rooms had mold. We saw 2 roaches in the bathroom which I know are common in Brazil but I’ve been here a few times and this is the first time I’ve seen them in my room. Also the wifi did not work in our room at all. I don’t know if it was bc of the location of our room but it just wouldn’t work. We tried to ask for help. The front desk guy put it through on his Walkie but still 5 days without wifi. We could only connect in the lobby which the guy assured me should not be the case. I would not stay here again. I wouldn’t recommend to others unless it was on super sale. Next time I will just rent a local apt. It may not have amenities but I’m sure it would be better service and better wifi"
"The bathroom was really dirty. Walls had marks all over. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a while.
The breakfast was very limited in vegetarian options.
Night staff didn’t speak English. "
"The executive suite was very large and the view of copacabana beach and sugarloaf mountain was beautiful. The only issues we had was one toilet did not work for our entire stay and we had issues with our blinds. There were also lots of stains on the carpet and furniture. Some of the furniture was not in great condition, but overall the room looked generally nice.
The staff were generally friendly.
There was an incident while we stayed where multiple guests got trapped in one of the elevators which resulted in the fire department coming to get the people out. After that, two elevators were down for most of the remainder of our stay.
We booked VIP, where you’re allowed free alcohol and water but only to be consumed in the “VIP lounge” which is simply a small couch next two the VIP check in desk. It was quite awkward to enjoy a drink next to the check in desk. And I don’t understand why we couldn’t have taken water from the VIP area, not even one bottle. The minibar was expensive. Overall I think I grossly overpaid for the executive suite with the flaws we experienced, but the hotel common areas were lovely and made my trip to Rio more enjoyable. The rooftop pool was amazing and the staff at the restaurants and bars were very nice. The vibes were great up on the roof."
