"Terrific renovation of two story motel. Great bedding and toiletries. Everything has a curated retro-hipster look. Spacious shower and bathroom, closet space, robes, plenty of charging outlets and a big TV, great if you use Apple. The only downside is noisy, bulky air conditioner. Be sure to ask for a ground floor room if you have a lot of luggage; second floor is accessible only by stairs. Nice outdoor seating and clubroom. We didn't take advantage of their food or bar offerings because...

"The Appletree Inn newly aquired by Claire Collery, is a treasure! Claire, has taken every effort to make the Inn welcoming, elegant and comfortable for each guest who comes through their doors. The pool was clean and delightfully refreshing while looking out on the Berkshire Hills. The room in the lodge, was basic, but extremely clean and quiet. The main Inn had their "soft opening" of the bar last night, and it was just lovely, and a delicious breakfast with top notch Depot coffee awaited us...

"The swimming pool is green, and unusable. Front desk is just a phone call and they walk you thru it. Stairs could use a good cleaning. Otherwise very good stay. "

Before you cross over into Massachusetts there is a local winery and tasting room. West...
