「The rooms were clean, staff is very friendly and aims to please. The lodge offers a simple nice breakfast. Dinner is also available if you confirm - we chose to eat off property. The road to arrive is extremely rough - potholes, less than two lanes at times - but worth it once you arrive. 「We loved our stay at your spacious little apartment. The room was perfect and the plants and trees there were beautiful. Our host, Arelys, was very knowledgeable and helpful in planning our outings. Her experienced husband took us on a night walk in the cloud forest and taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna. It was very educational and a lot of fun. Pura Vida! 」

「Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather.」

「Breakfast was wonderful. Great location. Amenities and room were all top notch. Also have a very reasonably priced same day laundry service that was a great perk for halfway through our trip. The lower rooms are a little noisy with street noise overnight if you sleep with the window open, but hotel provides earplugs. Overall a lovely stay. 」

They are very accommodating and also helped with booking our tram reservation and provided recommendations for local eateries. We would stay again. L'ambiance est plutôt calme et axé sur de belles habitudes de vie saine. Le café/ restaurant adjacent est vraiment délicieux!! Une fois stationné, tout est accessible à pied. Notez que la ville de santa- Elena est en montagne. 」
