「Pros: Friendly staff. Fantastic English breakfast. Great location, walking distance from the ferry terminal and all stores near the Stronmess waterfront. Even without an elevator, the parking location made it easy to access the room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers had nice high water pressure that gave a massage feeling. Cons: The building is historic, so the floors had older carpet. Newer flooring, e.g. newer carpet or luxury vinyl plank could improve the stay experience. Parking...

「We recently enjoyed our holiday stay at the Lindisfarne bed and breakfast in Stromness. This was our first visit to the Orkney Islands and we stayed there for two weeks. Kevin and Debbie were our host's at the B and B. They both looked after us superbly. The quality of the accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We will most certainly be returning and cannot find the word's to thank both Debbie and Kevin for their fantastic hospitality. 」

「The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights.」

「Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Royal Hotel in Stromness. The location is excellent. Close to ferry, buses and shops. Breakfasts were always very good. Decor in room very well done with interesting artwork. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dinners at sister hotel "Ferry Hotel" extremely good. Architecture and historical photographic history of The Royal and Stromness very interesting. 」
