「Great breakfast, excellent restaurant and even better staff. Everyone from the warm reception (at 11:30 pm!) who stayed late so we could enjoy a night cap after a long travel day. Engaging all around! Would definitely stay again!」

「Great staff and location but my poor rating was because the mattress was extremely soft! Not good for one’s back and the lifts weren’t working.」

「Rue calme, mais près de tout. Nuit silencieuse. Consignes claires」

「We were warmly welcomed by the staff on arrival and when they showed us up to the room we fell instantly in love with the sea view. The room was very clean and in good shape. What’s more, we ate in the restaurant and the food was fresh, locally sourced and also great value for money when compared to other local options.」

「We were very pleasantly surprised to learn our 1 room family suite had 2 separate bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Only issues were that we only had 1 key which made it tricky every time we went separate places. Also there was an illuminated exit sign in the king bedroom we had to cover up it was so bright, and when others shut their doors it would thump ours. 「Clean room and commons nice location.」

「Wonderful staff!」

「Best place to stay on Orkney, we did a 4night stay with breakfast and dinner every day, it was amazing specially with the hospitality of Suzanne! 10 out of 10」

「We were very lucky because both times we parked at the hotel, we got one of the 2 slots in front of the hotel, so we didn't have to try and find the additional parking lot, but the staff did give us a map to find it. Keep in mind that there is no lift, so depending on your floor you need to carry your bags up. The 23kg bag was not much fun to take up and then down 2 flights of stairs. The food for breakfast was very good whether the cereal/yogurt/fruit or the from the menu. The staff in the...

「The owner was very friendly and the room was spacious, clean and tidy. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, too. Very good stay experience, unfortunately only booked one night, hope to have the chance to visit kirkwall again」

「Lovely and accommodating host with lots of local knowledge and history. Spacious, comfortable and private rooms. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. Would come back any day and highly recommend to anyone. The personal touch and interaction with the host was appreciated and the perfect touch one would ask for a true Bed and Breakfast experience.」

「Was welcomed and checked in. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Went into Kirkwall for a meal, approx 10-15 minute walk. (Supermarkets are quite nearby also) Lovely breakfast after a comfortable nights sleep Thank you 👍」

「Friendly, clean and conveniently located. Breakfast was great and the owners were incredibly helpful. Really enjoyed my stay.」
