John was a fantastic host. Even though my daughter and I only spent one night, everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. He was warm, gracious, and a wonderful example of New Zealand hospitality. We’ll definitely be returning!

Stayed twice at Manata at beginning and end of our trip. Loved that Manata had all the amenities we needed. It was super clean and quiet and had everything we needed and we loved our visits from Oscar the resident cat! Thanks very much John. We will be back again one day!

The check-in process could improve, I didn't receive any check-in notifications as stated in the booking information, however once I contacted the owner, it was easy peasy. The property was super nice and updated, with a pool and hot tub. We stayed in the handicap accessible room and I've never stayed in a more accommodating place for upscale accessibility! We wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a fabulous family stay in the 2 bedroom apartment at Manata Lodge. Our adult family gathered from 3 different destinations. The surroundings were park like, the apartment and staff were very welcoming and we highly recommend this accommodation for a relaxing, peaceful stay. We made use of the pool, sauna and there was a spa as well. Our son (ex chief) cooked beautiful meals for us, using the kitchen and the BBQ and we all enjoyed Oscar, the cat, sharing the love! Thank you Manata Lodge. We will return.

Excellent property. Only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to spend at home. I think you need at least 1 full day to enjoy all the facilities in the house. If I ever visit queenstown again, will definitely stay in this house.

Had a great stay at Manata Lodge and was entertained by Oscar the cat, who inspired me to go on safari due to his hunting skills. I most enjoyed sitting out on the patio apres ski as I could relax out in the warm sun. The hot tub was great too for additional relaxation. John the owner guided me to enjoy a scenic mountain bike ride along the Shotover river. I would stay here again due to the fact that it is away from the congestion around Queenstown but still close to the ski areas, dining, shopping and the airport.

Exceptional!!

This lodge thought of everything!! From the comfortable bed to the large kitchenette and across the french folding doors to the patio area...just magnificent! The view from the room was spectacular. It is slightly out of town so very quiet. The extra little things they added made the stay awesome! DVD`s, games, books, laundry, bicycles for use and helmets. The the cream on the top was for sure the HOT TUB!! They is also an outdoor pool, but we were there in winter so unusable. I can not give this hotel enough stars or recognition! Definitely stay here if you get the chance!

The best host among all I’ve come across. Enquire about bed setting days before our stay. Follow up closely of what we need during our 3 days’ stay. Bonus snooker table that we spent our night happily together.
