"The actual room condition was totally different from the photo shown in hotels.com. First impression when entering the room was much disappointment with a stingy urine smell filled in the air. Walls covered with mould, leaking sink, choked floor trap, dirty ceiling fans, stained bedsheet, dirty sofa, sticky floor. I think this is the worst apartment I have stayed in malacca. Look like never maintain before. "

"Very friendly staff. They need to hire more reliable staff to ensure the rooms are cleaned and the toiletries and drinks are replenished before the guest returns. The pillows provided are too soft so it would be good if they offer different options for pillows. The hotel is conveniently located near malls and is not far from Jonker street. Overall, my family spent 2 relaxing days there."

"I overnight in this (ELMARK HOTEL MELAKA) for 2 nights. The second night was a nightmare to me. I'm so disappointed due to the electrical door lock spoilt, and i can't acess it. I have to wait more than 12 hours and there is no proper arrangements for me (my belongings are inside my room). The hotel staff told me about the master key with the hotel owner, and he is in another state now. I called the hotel owner, he didn't fix the issue on the spot..He asked me to wait him for another day to open...

"Room was clean and staff were courteous. Not able to get World News, in English, such as BBC. CNN etc.. Great location to walk 20 mins to Jonkers Night Market. Hard to find Chinese, Indian, and European restaurants around. However, the local food are fantastically nice!! "

"The stay was decent. Not much to shout about. The shower hose leaked when the water is turned on. There wasn’t free parking in the hotel despite reflecting as so. Had to pay a dollar for a 60 cents coupon."

About a 20 minute work into the very centre of Dutch Malacca. It is also a pretty walk past part of Little India and several good places to eat, so it doesn't feel like 20 minutes. There is also a Chinese cultural temple upstairs which is worth a look. The room itself was spacious and had a small balcony. Bathroom had plenty of...
