"A small resort that was everything our family needed. Despite being located right off the main road, the property is a beautiful oasis. All 4 of us, including two boys (12 & 15), loved the buffet and pool. A special shout-out to David and Angel for keeping us full of yummy, frozen drinks. The beach is quick and easy to get to, and fantastic for those who love beach walking, swimming, or just sitting and people-watching. Our room was on an upper level, with a high ceiling. It took us a night to get used to the sound of the AC, but appeciated the comfort it provided. We loved the balcony, even though it's only (just) big enough for two, as the flowers and mature trees are really lovely. There are restaurants and stores (including Walmart) within walking distance. The marina, as well, is close. We only ventured downtown twice and it was very easy to catch an Uber from the front entrance of the hotel and took 10-15 minutes. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone, with or without kids, who wants a truly laid-back experience."

"I loved our stay at Melia and Hector was awesome in accommodating our needs. The team constantly checked with us every day for how our stay was going. We had 3 friends who were vegetarian and the buffet has good quality food and a lot more options for people who are vegetarians. We loved that there was more cultural food and we could try so many mexican vegetarian dishes too. I am not sure about vegans because they had limited options for alternative milk substitutes like soy or oatmilk and even food wise. So Starbucks nearby is your only saviour if you want coffee and don’t like almond milk. They should definitely have more options like oatly oatmilk or soymilk which was easily available at Walmart. I had to buy my own and then I was good. Property was very well maintained and housekeeping was awesome. Their spa services are amazing and it’s so relaxing. The resort has lot of culture that gets reflected. We loved that part. People are really warm and welcoming. I will definitely come again. "

"No towels available. No interest in getting any for us. Otherwise nice clean place..had to go to counter and ask for pool towels. Very poor quality . "
