Save your money, find a different resort. Main pool is pumping hot water. Poor food choices. THIS IS NOT HYATT STANDARD, by any means!!! Do your homework- using Hyatt name without any of the same service. Service workers in Roots coffee shop has worse attitude!!! They were upset you were ordering!!! Need customer service training.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. Every day we saw staff cleaning and doing lawn maintenance. The food was not good which is why I took off 1 star. Very bland, no flavour. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t good. The Mexican restaurant was the only decent option for dinner and the fresh omelette station at breakfast. Coffee shop baristas were great and remembered my morning coffee order even though I was only there for 4 days. Pastries at the coffee shop always hit the spot! Drinks were watered down, not once did I get a good buzz. Overall I did enjoy the stay but would pick a resort with better food next time.

The resort was so beautiful and clean! And the staff was amazing! The food wasn’t great and the one time we ate the breakfast buffet, it was cold but the room service and restaurants were decent.

This place was gorgeous and the staff were great, but the food poisoning me and my girlfriend got from the place was terrible. She was sick completely by the 2nd day and me completely by the 3rd day and the staff didn’t do anything but offer a Gatorade. We were sick and pretty much miserable the rest of the trip on bed rest, the food isn’t safe nor good. Not to mention the biggest thing. My girlfriend got $100 stolen from her purse in the room by I’m assuming the cleaning ladies. They said there doing an investigation so we’ll see what happens.

The buffet isn't open every day, the food at other restaurants isn't tasty, only the seafood restaurant is good. There are no daily activities for guests. The beach is really bad, can't swim. The seating arrangement at the restaurant for a large group of people is not reasonable.

Our first time in Mexico and our first time at an all-inclusive resort. We loved what this place had to offer and enjoyed our stay but we also felt that we were robbed of our time for some “presentation”. Pros: Very nice and spacious rooms. Our room was serviced, cleaned and restocked daily. We had an ocean view room and we loved where it was located in the resort. Multiple restaurants to choose from that offered Gluten Free options (my husband had celiac), there weren’t many but there were some which we appreciated. The staff were so nice and friendly. Quiet area as this resort is a bit in a secluded section. Cons: My husband and I made the mistake of saying yes to an offer to “tour” another Hyatt resort which we were informed would be about an hour and 90 minutes long. We ended being out for almost 5 hours. This was a presentation to sign up for a new loan so you can be part of their club. We felt robbed of our time for our anniversary vacation that we’ve saved up on. This left a bad taste for us, we felt betrayed. Never again will we fall for it. Instead of us heading to Tulum to explore, we went home feeling disappointed and tricked. Another thing about the resort is the beach is not as clean as others. There are lots of seaweed. The resort is also far from other places so book an excursion as taxis are very expensive. Overall, we made the best of our time here for our first wedding anniversary but we will most likely not come back to a Hyatt in the near future.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend! The facilities and grounds were well taken care of and clean. The pools were great, but the beach was small and not in the best condition. The staff was very kind and welcoming in all aspects of service. The food was pretty good, but there were some long wait times depending on the restaurant and time of day. Drinks were great. Also had some night entertainment activities.

The beach here is not good, but the resort pools are excellent. They are short on staff but so is everyone, they did a great job and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are HUGE and very nice. Food and drink were good, we are simple and do not expect 5 star food at an all inclusive

It was a good resort if you stay only for 3Nights. Pls be aware which ZIVA you book due to transfer from Airport not that you drive to the Cancun one. Which happened to us. Food and drinks were ok. Not enough sun loungers/chairs which was ridiculous for everyone and long waiting time for this asian restaurant which was ok not spectacular.

The property absolutely exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing with so many options. Only downfall is the poor beach but staff worked very hard to keep it clean. Unfortunately it was damaged by a hurricane and is small. We still were able to enjoy it. The staff works very hard to keep everything clean and take care of the guests. Would definitely go back.

I had a very relaxing vacation with my family without a worry in the world. The staff was amazing Marcos in one of the most attentive waiters at the property, Lida was amazing making delicacies to eat and Ramirez was an outstanding barkeeper that made excellent drinks and cocktails. The options of being at the beach or pool with just a change of thought was exquisite. All the restaurant options were amazing. The room was also amazing I was able to come out the back right into the pool and the room was spacious with tons of creature comforts that made our vacation a great experience.

Pros: The resort is beautiful - the pools, garden and facilities are clean and well maintained. The room was clean and spacious with great views. The views of the ocean from the resort are gorgeous Cons: This resort isn't great for toddlers/young kids. It's fairly small with limited activities, in a secluded area that has conservation land all around. The activities and entertainment are more geared towards older kids. The beach and ocean had a lot of seaweed, so felt more like a nature reserve than a play-in-the-water type of beach - again great for older kids/adults who can appreciate the flora and fauna, but not great for toddlers who want to splash and play. Overall I'd say this is more like a romantic getaway or enjoy nature getaway resort than a family activity resort.

What a wonderful trip! We went there to celebrate our engagement and had a blast! The staff are incredibly kind and very attentive. The food is great; highly recommend the seafood achiote at the pool restaurant they during the lunch buffet. Isaac the bartender was fantastic. We were given a complimentary bottle of champagne upon telling them of our engagement. The beach is nice and well manicured but I highly recommend water shoes since there are parts of the sea floor that are rocky. We will be going back

Horrible beach, If you like laying in the sand or swimming in the ocean this isn't your resort. The beach is ugly and full of sea weed. Limited entertainment at resort. Great drinks, food was ok, not great, not bad. I would return due the the beach conditions.

This is our second stay at a Hyatt Ziva, we stayed at the one in Cancun proper a few years ago and now this one in Puerto Morelos this last time. Overall our family had a good time at the resort. Here is our overall feedback. Pros: beautiful landscaping & hotel overall. The rooms are very spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cons: the hotel allows people to save beach & pool chairs for the entire day, by 7am they are all taken meanwhile most people won’t show up for hours on end. I’m on vacation- I don’t want to have to wake up early to get a chair. We sat on the grass or all 4 of us in 1 chair pretty much every single day. The food is average. Not in line with other Hyatt resorts we have stayed at. They also don’t have enough staff in the restaurants for how many guests in the hotel. There is an hour wait for most places to eat unless you are in line before they even open. The buffet will have ample tables open and still have people waiting to be seated for 10-20 minutes. For small kids that are picky eaters, it is hard to find food for them at all places to eat, even at the buffet. There is also no available option for food before 7am local time so if your kids wake early and are hungry right away I suggest you bring some fruit or other snacks from the buffet the morning before to your room for the following day. There are limited options for lunch available. The beach is very narrow and rocky. The ocean is not for swimming really. Suggest to bring water shoes.

it has too many excluded food items from all inclusive package. Expectation are high since internet reviews show them as included. You end up not eating overpriced 50 USD lobster tail. Property area is bit to small it is well maintain etc but you are in small resort.

If you have kids and are bringing them on vacation then you probably wouldn't mind that there's a 3 kid per 1 adult ratio. We went from April 1-April 5 and every morning woke up to kids screaming, not an exaggeration... literally they put us two adults with no kids in a room next to the kids club. Do not eat at the Mexican restaurant unless you don't mind waiting 3 hours for the food to come out while surrounded by tables of restless and hungry kids. And the food was not worth the wait. How can you go wrong with chicken fajitas? I don't know but they did. The beach was non existent..there was about 3 feet of sand but it was full of seaweed(not the hotel's fault) but just warning those that might want to swim in the ocean...not going to happen here. I think that this added to the reason that all of their pools were over crowded with kids. Also not the hotel's fault that people seem to think that it's ok to save pool chairs when they're not even out there so forget about trying to lounge by the pool or by the beach unless you're out there to "save a chair" as soon as the towel shack is open. Good things, junior suite was very spacious and clean. A/c worked excellent.

The breakfasts were very good, but the lunch and dinner options were subpar with minimal options and low quality. There were long waits (exceeding 30 minutes) for each meal, and there was no food or drink service at the pool or beach, which I have experienced at most other resorts. That said, the property was beautiful and the spa was amazing.

This has been one of my favorite trips ever ! Everyone there is super nice and pleasant. Water aerobics was so fun also! Drinks were super good! Shoutout to Ernesto and Jesus for being the best bartenders. Also shoutout to Jorge who is great server! The food was alright not the greatest but also not the worst. Favorite food place was definitely the Italian restaurant, the chicken parm is so good! Overall such a great experience and I can’t wait to go back :)
