「Clean room, comfy bed and a good shower. Hallways could have done with a quick vac. Missed second day breakfast but still enough left.」

「Parking space is not enough. We’re lucky that the council parking in the opposite side of the street is free on Saturday night, so we can get a space. Table top, shelf and hook for hanging clothes or bag in the guest room is not enough too. Staffs are so nice and helpful, but the hygiene of restaurants tables and chairs need improvement. 」

「The hotel building is beautiful and nice planed. Easy access from train station, less than 5 mins by walking. There's a super maket just right beside it. We had a good stay with it, it's a good hotel to consider when you visit the area.」

「We were allocated a large room on the 3rd floor. There is no lift. We requested a lower floor the room was mor like a bedsit .clean and quiet. .The front of the building is covered in scaffding. If we were in the rooms with hottubs etc different experience.Staff minimal buit helpful.restuarant has always been good.」

「A lovely clean and easily accessed hotel. The room had everything I required, a nice comfy bed, tea, coffee and biscuits along with a desk and chair.The bathroom is well spaced out with a wonderful powerful shower . The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I strongly recommend a stay at the King Alfred.」

「The outside isn't pretty, but don't let that influence you. The room is excellent. It was nice to have cold water in the fridge and a piece of chocolate in the room upon arrival- nice treat, no charge. We found the bed a little hard and the room warm. The staff brought us a fan so sleeping was much better.」

「Cannot say as i did not stay due to the manager trowing me out for letting my partner use the toilet the got me charged with drink driving for trying to sleep in my car as did not have anywhere else to go」

「I was given a double room instead of a suite, they couldn’t give me the correct room due to it being full and couldn’t refund me due to not having access to the correct system. The coffee machine didn’t work and they only gave a small amount of milk which only lasted one day.」

「The room was clean and tidy, shower was hot and powerful, there was tea, coffee and hot chocolate and plenty of coat hangers. I will defintely be staying gere aagaim 」

「Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. The room was really clean and the decor was quirky and bright. It's a lively night spot (for a little town) so it wasn't the quietest place to sleep, but good value for money.」

「The location and apartment were great! Unfortunately the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in - so lumpy and uneven we couldn't sleep for the 2 nights we were there. The sofa bed mattress was so thin you could feel the metal frame all night. The mattresses all need replacing!」

「I admittedly arrived at a busy time and The Bear was reportedly chronically short of staff. Whilst the room and its cleanliness was excellent, the human side was somewhat chaotic. I queued twice for approx. 15 mins in total only to be told, in regard to ordering food, that the chef was very busy and not feeling well. I could not order any food and whilst sickness is unavoidable no decision was made to stop food orders for the evening. That lack of a decision was the problem and frustrating. I...
