Top Preston Tower Hotel Reviews
Purdy Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"From the minute we set foot in the door, we were made to feel welcome. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them at any hour. The food was delicious for the 4 breakfasts and 3 evening meals we ate there. I would stay at Purdy Lodge again and I'd suggest it to anyone who is planning on visiting Northumberland. Although, the hotel was literally on the A1, there was very little noise at the back of the hotel where we stayed. The hotel was ideally situated for local sites/towns of interest including Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick etc. We would definitely advise others to visit the Purdy Lodge and would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for making our 10th anniversary holiday amazing."
Mill View
10/10 Excellent
"Great property and very clean with great views. 2nd time we've stopped there and will return again no doubt on our next golf weekend Nice touches having, milk, tea, bread and butter supplied to you One very small ‘issue’ is with the swimming pool. Guests are able to put their names down and book slots, and it often seems like all the times are fully booked. However, the pool is usually empty during many of those slots, meaning that if you actually want to use it, you can’t because all the available times have already been booked. Perhaps there could be a better system for managing the bookings or a limit on how many slots someone can reserve in advance or even just give free reign, if you don't want to enter when others are in then don't and if its too crowded, use common sense and come back another time."
The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group
10/10 Excellent
"What a lovely stay! Amazing views and superb breakfast."
East House
10/10 Excellent
"Lean facilities and very helpful host."
The Garden Rooms
10/10 Excellent
"As soon as we arrived, it was pretty clear where we needed to go to check in. We were in awe with the place, such detail and characteristics. We would definitely recommend visiting Newton Hall for its bar and with reception inside that was 24hours, there was always someone on hand for any questions you may have had. The room/ cabin itself was pretty nice and had all essentials you need to store milk in little fridge or make a brew. The room and the bathroom were very clean and loved the attention to detail with charm and character. You could even buy a s’mores kit while using a small safe fire outside which we did under a blanket of stars. The place was local to seaside, some cafes and restaurants and food is delicious. If you are driving I’d recommend the tourist places like Alnwick and seaside for fish and chips. Food can buy pricey though in your typical tourist hotspots so be mindful of this. If staying at the cabin bit, there are nice walks and wildlife surrounding the area which is nice to see, hot tubs are a must if relaxing and the staff are very friendly and helpful if needed. After the amazing experience we had, we’d definitely go back and explore other areas in Northumberland."
Rock Moor House B&B
8/10 Good
"Large bedroom and ensuite with plenty of hot water! Friendly owners and excellent cooked breakfast with plenty of breakfast choices. An information folder may have been useful with local pubs for dining. Location is good for visiting castles and coast."
Beadnell Towers Hotel
8/10 Good
"Beautiful hotel excellent food but over priced for a hotel without; in room safe, no air-conditioning, no leisure faciity"
Dunstanburgh Castle Inn
10/10 Excellent
"What a fabulous friendly place. We came on Friday night when they were having a charity night quiz. What an amazing atmosphere the people were just so lovely. We’ll be back again and hopefully join in this time. The landlady Clair had seen us standing and came over and found us a table. Although we didn’t have tickets for the quiz we felt very much a part of it Thank you"
Police House Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"This was the best place we stayed in England. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We bought oven ready meals and cooked them. Made a salad. Good times. Lovely garden in back overlooking Pub. It was easy walking to grocery and Pub. "
