"The bed was sloped and I could feel the springs. The shower had what looked like make-up smeared on the wall. I tried making coffee in the room with the provided coffee and it came out lighter than church coffee. I was expecting something nicer from a Ramada-Wyndham hotel."

"Chose the Hampton Inn Poway as an extra night on my birthday trip knowing that this isn't a fancy resort by any means but Hampton Inn always comes with great stays and calm environments. The stay started out ok with the gentleman at the front being very helpful and even offering an "upgrade". We got to the room to notice a musty smell from the AC being off. We were given a room with one bed instead of two and a pull out couch (no problem). When turning on the AC, the AC the entire stay could not be controlled by the wall unit but by the ac unit itself. It smelled, didn't cool and made loud noises that seemed to get worse the longer it was on. The pull out couch was stained immensely with black dirt. The bathroom has no ventilation and the sinks were in the middle of the room. Water did not get warm for over 5 minutes. To make everything feel worse, at 6:00am the fire alarms abruptly woke us awake as they went off non-stop for over 3 minutes. We got up in a fury and headed out to the stairs to be led outside and have to walk around the property as they went off as we were going down the stairs. When I went to the front desk, I was greated by a non-friendly woman who laughed at me when I asked why they went off and said that it was someone using the toaster at breakfast incorrectly. She then said well "at least you are awake"... offering no apologies. When expressing everything, I got nothing in return saying "that is too bad'."

"Mixed review here. Roberto the hotel manager was very hospitable and welcoming. Our house had a bursted pipe and we were displaced for a few weeks. Roberto gave me a great set rate and was very helpful. Property is clean, breakfast was a great perk. Free laundry was excellent too. The downfall of this review is the maniac front desk associate Edward. Knowing the courtesy Roberto had given me, this guy treated me and my family like peasants. I extended my stay and got home late from work (10pm). Going off my deal with Roberto, i had planned on coming down the next day and squaring up my balance. Roberto, being on vacation, now lies Edward. This guy called my hotel room 10x, making my wife, 11yr old child, and my 3 pets uncomfortable. Then when i get back he tells me i need to clear up my balance right this second or i have to leave. Completely condescending (even after Roberto had a talk with him on how hes supposed to treat us “long term stay”). Long story short, at 11:00pm, i packed up all of my belongings, displaced my entire family elsewhere while he locks himself in the office, completely ignoring all the numerous guests that tried to ask for help. Edward made this review trash and should NEVER be allowed to be a brand ambassador to an otherwise great property. Edward should cleanse his soul at the nearest confessional."

"Arrival (Monday): My assigned room was not ready. I waited 30 minutes for a reassignment, only to receive a dated, gloomy room with grease stains on the bathroom walls, rusted sprinkler heads, and stained floor tiles.Hygiene Issues: The shower stall contained a long hair from a previous guest. When I moved the bath mat, the floor underneath was visibly filthy. Housekeeping Failures: My room was completely skipped on Tuesday. Manager Meeting (Wednesday): I met with the property manager and showed him photo evidence. He agreed the room condition was unacceptable and explicitly promised to "make it right" if I agreed to stay the remainder of the week. The room was finally cleaned that afternoon. Continued Neglect (Thursday): The room was skipped again. The front desk dismissively stated cleaning only happens every two days. Checkout (Friday): The property manager was unavailable. The front desk clerk brushed off photos of the dirty sink, shower, floor, and mirror as "normal," refusing to assist with the manager's promised adjustment. I honored my end of the agreement by staying the entire week based on the manager's word. I attached the photos of the room's condition as proof and emailed the manager as he requested. .I request a MINIMUM 50% refund to settle this matter. Anything less would be an insult."
