「Convenient location」

「We booked this room based on cost and location and that they were pet friendly. Not knowing the area, we were ok with location. However…you can’t control the guests. We barely slept. The hallways and doors closing were loud. Our dog is a silent protector. Meaning she won’t bark but she will not sleep and warn us at any hour by shaking her tags that she aware of something not right. Which was nearly all night. People walking above us. Doors closing. Cars starting. Etc. The cooling...

「Excellent location. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Galena historic district, but be prepared for hills. The hotel does have a shuttle, however we did not need to use it. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was a buffet service set up in the restaurant. We definitely enjoyed our dinner at Frank O'Dowd's, and we understand there is live music on the weekends. There is a cute private walking path behind the hotel, called the Fairy Ring. It's a loop trail that's less than 1 mile....

「We did not even say we went in the room and it smelt so bad of mildew and mold it was burning my kids noses and burning my throat. We cannot even stay in the room. We were offered another room but no refund however we did not want the other room because their office smelled just like mildew and mold as well. Meaning the whole building smells that way. The guy refused to give us a refund. The room is not worth $200. This was a rip off and they need to use their money to bleach the mold out of...

「We checked in after a wedding at 11:00 PM. The front desk gentleman was great! Rooms where clean. The breakfast area is large. They had great coffee, juices, water. Waffles, egg omelets, bacon and potatoes. Cereal/ oatmeal, donuts. You could find something you would like. The outside seating area is nice which over looks the golf course.」

「The TV didn't work. There was a long sheet about how to get it working but who has that time? How about using the remote as usual? Every hotel should have blackout drapes but they did not. People moved into next room with a non-stop yipping dog. The stay overall was great but for price these issues need attention.」

「Avant tout, la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Mais, toutes les chambres n'y ont pas droit. Une d'entre elles est sur le parking avec une fenêtre minuscule, très décevante. Lors de mes échanges sur le tchat, la personne en charge a fait preuve de beaucoup de sarcasme et n'a apporté aucune compréhension réelle à ma déception. Ensuite, la décoration de la chambre est en décalage par rapport à l'extérieur de l'hôtel, qui est très beau, mais surtout, la propreté de la chambre était OK mais...

It is a beautiful house decorated with vintage furniture, comfortable beds, beautifully tiled bathrooms, plush robes, and hosts Dee and Willow who gave us a history lesson about the property and its prior owners, and made the most wondrous breakfasts each day before we began exploring Dubuque.」
