Room was very clean. It was off season so we were not in the main hotel. We were put in the Coveside. No view of the ocean at all. No instructions for the coffee pot, Nespresso, ended up with water all over the counter. Vague instruction for the TV, couldn't get live sports games.

We came to visit my son. It's March so it's pretty dead and the main building is closed so we were in the Coveside. The room was nice, very clean and well maintained. The difficulty is of you l have an issue there was only someone on sight during the day. On the other hand, we got a really good deal. Staffing is the only reason I downgraded to 4 stars.

Our second time staying. The two house keepers we interacted with. Were very polite. I would say the two in the cove . Friday Eve and Saturday am check out. Needing a little more etiquette when working with the public.

Due to the season I did not realized we’re not booking in the “true colony hotel “, which was shut down for the winter, the hotel rooms behind the resort were ok, but was not able to see the ocean as I had requested an ocean view room, so very disappointed

The room was very nice and the market was beautiful and clean. We did book a room with a bathtub and was not assigned to a room with a bathtub. Also we had just bought champagne glasses the day before after doing a wine tasting and upon coming back to the room after being out all day, one of them was gone and there was no note or anything explaining if it had been broken after the housekeepers had come… very disappointed in the last of accountability there, especially since the glasses were nice and brand new to us.

Overall good stay and great to bring my dog. That worked out all. Minus a star for cleanliness. Needs a boost, sorry. The toilet paper folded doesn't really help when I have to wipe the toilet seat clean right next to it. Also random hair in the unit, not terrible but overall cleaning staff needs a boost/reminder because that was a bit disappointing. The pillows are pretty flat and the toilet paper is like back in school lol The marketplace is convenient nice addition Solid B+ stay Some tweaks here and there and continued improvements and refreshers and this could be an A stay in no time.

Exceptional greeting by Manager Bill who was incredibly gracious and helpful. Room was spotless, comfortable and warm. Good in room coffee! Although we stayed in off season months, town was very active and the stay was quite enjoyable. Would recommend and would def return!

Pros: Beautiful location / across from ocean Charming historic building Very Clean No TV Reasonable off season rates New modern building across the street from millennials! TV/ Cons: no air-conditioning in main building but the breeze and ocean is nice! The Colony stopped including breakfast with the room rate. Would preferred if they just added it in and I had to be worrying about paying. The buffet was very good. Breakfast and lunch are served downstairs in the marine room, which is fine but the dinner menu is limited! . They stopped serving in the main dining room quite a few years ago. It’s too bad. It’s a beautiful venue.. Biggest travesty from me was the main house was very traditional and remnants of the past nicely decorated. But the last few years they have been redecorating rooms, which to me has become very un suitable since the room we stayed in the last time was done in primary colors like a kindergarten class the furniture was all mismatched, and even though they included a refrigerator, it made noise all night long and there was too much furniture in a small room and I actually had to put chairs in the closet to be able to move around.. Needless to say it was very disappointing. We have gone to The Colony for many years and just don’t understand what they were thinking.. We are considering of going somewhere else this coming year! Sadly, for us, we miss all the familiar faces that made us feel warm and fuzzy! But your location life goes on! Pricey!

The building was new and the room was extremely clean. Check in/out staff was very friendly. This hotel was also in a very good area that you can walk around and go to shops, seafood markets, restaurants, etc. there are a few walking paths in the back near the river, very nice views, and dog friendly!
