We had city view with limited beach view from bedroom. The balcony wasn t a good place for a meal. Kitchen was clean. Limited housekeeping and change of towels for a 2 week period. Staff was helpful! Vacation was good!

As I am gluten intolerant it can be challenging eating out, kitchen equipment is therefore important. The kitchen has very basic equipment. The decor is tired but clean. Very good attitude to sharing facilities with family who live locally. Good sized rooms and easy parking.

Amazing sea view apartments

Nice apartment on a fantastic location - make sure to book “front sea view” which is more expensive but so worth it. The building is old school but comfortable and spacious

This apartment is in a great location. Everything is very walkable and it has a nice view of the beach. The reception was friendly and helpful. The room itself is very basic with minimal supplies but was acceptable. The sleeping arrangements for our family of 4 was not great but it worked.

Stayed in a fantastic 2 bedroom all redone inside. The one bed next door was not and was a 3 star room. The 2 bed was a five. Huge balcony overlooking the sea. If I knew beforehand would have booked at least a week. The 2 bed you could stay for a month or two. Great area to walk/get around. Tapas around the corner was incredible.

Hotel Parking is expensive, £20 per day and the parking space in the basement of the hotel is very, steep, narrow and difficult to use. Balconies have very low railings, dangerous for the children. The beach is stunning and the area is very beautiful.

The area was beautiful and local to all the beaches and restaurants. We were very surprised to find that a lot of the things that were stated as amenities were additional costs once we arrived (parking $20 per day, Wi-Fi $5 per day, the safe $2.50 per day) which was in addition to the paid in full amount we spent. There were other area hotels that had those amenities included In the cost. The apartment was spacious but the beds were very hard (not sure if that’s a European thing but not comfortable). After paying the $20 a day for parking, we had to park in an extremely small garage that barely had any available spots because majority were blocked off for the apartments. We enjoyed our time in Portugal in the area, but if we were to return I would look into another hotel.

We had to pay a deposit for the room of €100, it was on the booking but we hadn't noticed. The deposit was paid by credit card, but they don't refund until midnight on the day you leave. Apparently it is only pre authorisation but none of this was explained properly at check in. The room had a really bad problem with the smell of the drains, we complained several times and all that was done was putting cleaning products down the toilet and sink so obviously the smell returned. Cleaning only takes place every 3 days so this made the situation worse. The beds seemed ok at first, but by the end of the week they seemed to get harder and more uncomfortable. I guess they just need renewing. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, a small packet of washing up liquid and a cloth were left for us which was helpful.

Portimao vacation.
