"The property has a lot of charm and character. After booking, we discovered it was haunted, which added a unique touch to our stay! The views are stunning, especially if you choose a room facing the ocean on the 2nd or 3rd floors. However, early morning deliveries can make it a bit noisy.
Our room was fairly big with a separate sleeping area with two beds. While the beds were advertised as queen-size, they felt more like full-size. Beyond that, the room was solid and met our needs.

"The inn was in nice shape inside the rooms, no complaints. Bed was comfortable, nice amenities, refer, coffee maker, etc. Two things are worthy of comment. I'm aware the inn is using the standard TV's many other places use, but their rooms are larger than most, making the TV's seem small(er), and also using the TV's speaker so volume needs to be raised. Worried me a bit it might be an issue for an adjoining room. And secondly... The towel rack was surprisingly far from the shower. Didn't notice...

"Clean but basic. Adequate kitchen facilities and comfortable bed. There was an old TV which didn’t work and an old clock radio which had poor reception. There was no internet in the cabins so we needed to stand outside the office to pick up a signal to go online. The shower was tricky; it went from ice cold to very hot and back to cold in no time.
The price wasn’t too bad. The place had a nice view over the bay. Close to Port Townsend.

"Beautiful historical hotel, the rooms were comfortable, the bed too and we liked the vintage style fridge. Because this is a historical building the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! I'd give it a higher rating but the thin walls were an annoyance. Also, no AC in the unit."

"This is an excellent value for the price of accommodation. You get a full apartment with laundry, dining room, and full-blown kitchen. Location is not wonderful as it is about 45 minutes from Anacortes by way of various country roads. Suburbia is a few minutes away, but the urban core of beautiful downtown Stanwood resembles a frontier town. There is an Amtrak station across the street which means an easy rail commute to either Seattle or Vancouver BC."

"It’s a converted EconoLodge. Rooms are clean and has been renovated with wood floors (none of that yucky carpet on typical motels) and new-ish bathrooms.
Stayed for 6 nights for a baseball tournament. Loved the continental breakfast every morning with make-your-own waffles, auto pancake maker, sausages and eggs. Great way to start the morning.
Even has on-site laundry machine/dryer.
Area has everything you need - grocery store (Kroger/QFS and Safeway), Walgreens, Super WalMart and a Costco. Plus a lot of restaurant choices near by.
I would definitely stay at Ocean Star again if I am in the area.
