"Great spot! This is a renovated, former Econo Lodge...I believe the Google Street View photos still show an Econo Lodge...The kind folks at the front desk informed me they've only had the place for just over 1 year (we visited the weekend of April 13, 2024)...Again, appears to have been recently renovated...very clean...staff is super polite and always ready to serve, clean up, whatever is needed...We would definitely stay here again if in the area! Only item in description that does not quire live up to its listing is the on-site Mini Golf...there is a cutesy, little 5-Hole Mini-Golf set up along the main (Washington St) street side of the premises...and it's buffered from the road well enough with landscaping...and while it is not a total mess...and they have golf clubs available at the front desk, it is apparent that it's seen better days...Finally, to top everything off, the "continental" breakfast, was very much well above the typical continental breakfast offering...typically you never get any kind of meats at these...and this one included sausages...and for even more excitement, there's a make your own waffle machine...and even fancier high tech, there is a pancake-making "machine", which starts up by waving your hand in a certain area...and while the pancakes are not huge, it does make two (2) per activation...and my wife ended up with more than expected! She waved her hand twice and she thought she'd only get 2 pancakes...she ended up with four! Hope you enjoy it!"

"The Palace hotel is a really nice, clean place to stay and the genuine Victorian feel of each room is a bonus. If you've never stayed at the Palace, each room is unique and tastefully decorated and outfitted to match the Victorian atmosphere. The staff are friendly and easy to work with. There is no elevator, so that might be a problem as the stairs are quite imposing. However, the location in downtown PT along the waterfront, where shops, restaurants and watering holes are within easy walking distance, is another bonus. Parking is always a little tough in PT, especially on a weekend, but the Palace has exclusive parking around back for their residents. We have recommended to friends and they have also enjoyed their stay. "

"First off soup and cookies are so needed when you get in late on a Friday night after work like we did. The pool and hot tub make this place the best, like I said we wanted to make the most of the weekend so we set right after work drove all evening got there around eight I think and it almost feels like a waste of money to buy a motel room for two nights when you know you get there so late, but being able to hit the pool for the kido and the hot tub for mom and dad was just what we needed after the long drive plus the soup and cookies! The breakfast in the morning was so good, they really do a good job providing lots of options and plenty there to eat, the coffee was too weak however (my only complaint) just terrible but I like it dark. The staff were excellent they were very nice and they seemed like very good natured friendly people. The room was clean and not overly cleaner smelling which is good because my partner is very sensitive to smells (not by choice) so this is a major issue. Very clean though the linen was nice and everything was so comfortable. The heater did give off a small amount of ozone smell at first but nothing a cracked window didn’t fix, no real issue there. The maintenance guy was super friendly and accommodating just a super cool dude with a great mustache. All in all, our first time there and it won’t be our last. It was nice and close to PA and there is restaurants right there and there is a store a couple of blocks away. Five stars "

"This was a fun property to stay at. It was clean and felt safe and was easy to get to. There are directions for the lock next to the door, which I didn’t see at first but were helpful once I found them. There were a few different heaters which were needed to get the space warm. The water was hot once I let it run for a minute. I would stay here again."
