River view right next to cathedral. 2 things would say that was bed was the bed could of be more comfortable. Also toilet maybe needs fix noticed the water still running long after flush. Impression was refurbishment may be incomplete, but difficult to see it will ever have enough trade. Reception was unoccupied and accessible by mobile. It all worked, but not the typical hotel experience."

"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "Lovely place really with old well-preserved rooms, great breakfast and dinner and an amazing whisky bar. The service was excellent too. If you arrive during the snowy season, make sure to ask for a heater or extra blankets as the rooms on the bottom floor gets very cold. "
