The hotel is comfortable and clean. Good location. A little tired and lacking in a restaurant for an evening meal. The cooked breakfast was ok but not great. There are options in town which is a short stroll away however.

Very helpful you man carried our very heavy suitcase upstairs for us. Clean, comfortable room, amazing breakfast, and a very sweet cat to greet you on the front porch.

Beautiful exterior and well located but thats about it. Advertised as a 4 star but did not have an open resturant, pool, gym or even basic help with luggage. All the scottish staff were very warm but the manager was extremely rude.

We had a room with a queen bed. It had a cheap looking gray rug covering the carpet (assume there were stains on the carpet), and the room was otherwise quite plain - none of the regal looking draperies etc that we expected. There were obvious electrical problems in the hallways, as the overhead lights were not working, and there were lamps set up on little tables along the hallway. to provide light but were kind of pain to maneuver suitcases around. The place has potential but was not as grand as we had hoped.

There is a lot of space in this hotel manor, a snooker table even as well as sitting areas. Breakfast is quite substantial with great service. The rooms are getting a little tired but are very comfortable. Location is ideal to the centre of town.

Our room was slightly unconventional, being more like a conservatory with a four poster bed in the middle. Many curtains to close! Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Would come back. There are some areas that need maintenance. Old furnishings are antique. One negative was that my son stayed in a camp bed in the room with a very thin mattress and wasn’t entirely comfortable. Other than that we had a nice stay.
