Magnifique chambre et bonne literie. Le petit-déjeuner inclus était très bon et très copieux. Le personnel était agréable, à l'écoute et disponible. Nous n'y sommes restés qu'une seule nuit mais nous aurions aimé pouvoir en profiter bien plus.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. Good location. A little tired and lacking in a restaurant for an evening meal. The cooked breakfast was ok but not great. There are options in town which is a short stroll away however.

Very helpful you man carried our very heavy suitcase upstairs for us. Clean, comfortable room, amazing breakfast, and a very sweet cat to greet you on the front porch.

Our room was slightly unconventional, being more like a conservatory with a four poster bed in the middle. Many curtains to close! Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Would come back. There are some areas that need maintenance. Old furnishings are antique. One negative was that my son stayed in a camp bed in the room with a very thin mattress and wasn’t entirely comfortable. Other than that we had a nice stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!

Overall, it was a wonderful hotel and experience. Excellent shower !! Carpet was a little threadbare, but you have to give it a pass because of the age of the property. It’s a castle.!! Great breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Optisch natürlich ein Hingucker. Man fühlt sich wie ein König. Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten die Superior King Suite. Da versprachen die Bilder leider viel mehr als das Zimmer dann gehalten hat. Schon sehr alt, aber irgendwie doch ganz nett. Groß und geräumig. Matratzen waren sehr schlecht, da spürte man die Eisen vom Federkern gewaltig in den Rippen und Schultern. Frühstück war sehr gut, alles frisch zubereitet, teils Buffet, teils serviert. Lage ist superschön, ein kleiner Park und absolut ruhig.

What an enchanted place to stay! It was absolutely perfect. We felt like kings and queens. The staff were super polite and helpful. They made us feel very welcomed. I cannot speak more highly of this place. It is a must for us whenever we get to return to the area.

In 2026 I’d have imagined that the supply of gluten free bread/toast and cereals would have been standard. On the second day they had ‘run out’ and could we try ‘something else’. You aren’t Coeliac by choice and when there is nothing else on offer it doesn’t really help. That said when we let them know that Tesco across the road was open they did send someone to get some. Only to be told on the 3rd day that they may have run out! The public areas of the hotel are tired but on the whole it wouldn’t put me off staying again but o would let them know that the GF stuff was more than a nice to have.
