「We didn’t “stay” at the Strater Hotel we had an “experience”.The Strater Hotel is a step back in time. The Strater is the most unique hotel I’ve ever visited . The staff was excellent. The Diamond Belle Saloon and the Office Spiritorium both had live music both nights we visited them. The atmosphere was amazing and the service and food were excellent. We are looking forward to time traveling at the Strater the next time we visit Durango.」

「The front desk associate Doug is always an amazing person with warm welcomes and greets us. Everytime I stay in Durango I stay here. Doug is always helpful and the breakfast biscuits and gravy are legendary with the coffee!!! 」

「The room was very clean and comfortable. Love the couch as sitting so often missing in motel rooms. For us, being near the breakfast room was great although it could be noisy at times. We loved the close proximity to the Durango and Silverton railroad and nearby restaurants. 」

The property is gorgeous and they thought of everything you could possibly need - from glasses of water to a sound machine and top notch bedding and toiletries! Location is also wonderful and it's easy to walk to so many restaurants and shops! This will be our go-to stop anytime we are in Durango! 」
